play hockey. Because football, imho, is a pretty lame sport. A line of disgustingly muscular and fat men will try to push each other accross a line while one guy runs with a ball and the others try to break his knees. It's exceptionally boring except for a few moments of extreme violence and the occasional pretty pass. Even baseball moves faster. Watch a game of lacrosse, on the other hand, and you will see a rough and tough bunch of finely tuned athletes displaying unbelievable hand eye coordination, tough hitting and passing vision in non stop action. I went to an IHL game last night and watched a sweet come from behind overtime thriller. Go Ducks! Amazing passing; sophisticated coaching strategy; even a couple of good fights. What's more, I paid a whopping 15 bucks for one of the best seats in the house. Shit, even the Australians have a better version of football than we do. The only things I can think of that I'd rather watch less than football are soccer, women's basketball (sorry girls, but it's hard to watch.), and swimming.
As a lacrosse player I would have to agree with you on what you said. Lacrosse is just as intense and fast as other sports. But grow some balls.....football season is the greatest time of the year. But then again I'm just a sports junky.
when is it ?? today ?? any way all sport is crap.. so i don't care. ... Please can sombody take a clean head shot at Paul Mccartney and do the world a favour ..when he starts 'singing'.
super bowl is more than a game..its a spectacle for the world to watch. A billion people around the world watch the sports.. Its big, its fun and the commercials usually rock(sucked the past 3 years). What other sporting even has the glamor? None. World cup? Yeah, right. Who cares about the game..its usually the least exciting part of the super bowl. It is an event.
I watched it for the game. I like football. I can see how there are certain aspects that are boring or not exciting enough for you, but I enjoy it. I'm sorry sports you don't watch and a musician makes you all so worked up!
I definitely like Hockey far better...in absence of that, I had to fill up on the last football game of the year though
i was at home sunday wondering who was playing this year. wondering if there would be another wardrobe malfunction.....now it's over. i can not understand the billions of viewers and billion$$$ of dollars spent on this 'big game'--while homeless people sleep on sidewalks with only survival in mind -at least when i was homeless anyway. no soup kitchen super bowl party ever did exist. the main soup kitchen dont serve on sunday anyway & no tv. just a rant on my view of sports $$$$ society & prioritys....
My kids watched Animal Planet's "Puppy Bowl." It was like, several hours of 11 and 12 week old puppies, in a football "arena" playing with each other. It was cute. Sage, my 5 year old, wants the video, and that is all it was, just puppies playing. The pups were all up for adoption, too. SOOOOOOOOOOO cute. I did watch Paul McCartney during halftime though, his show beat the hell outta Janet Jackson's boob!
