for those who grew up in the 80s......

do you faintly remember transformers, and did you have any of the toys??

my brother got the first season of transformers on dvd, which he said is apparently for someone who is going to sample some of the soundtrack..... and he is watching it now, and we were reminiscing a bit......

I remember havin blaster who turned into a ghetto blaster, he had cassettes that were also transformers, they changed into animals......

and I had trailblazer who turned into a black ford bronco......

we also had optimus prime, and some of the minibots, and some of the insecticons...... there were others too...

anyone remember these, or am I a superdork?

 

I only had 1 or two, the Japanese kid up the street that I grew up with had a shit load, almost all that there were. I had a few go-bots as well, do you remember those transformer rip offs?

 

yes I do remember go-bots, they even had a cartoon as well......... they were a cheap ripoff for sure......

you know, those toys back then , had all these small little pieces with their missiles and appendiges and whatnot..... nowadays, when they reissue those transformers, they have larger pieces so kids cant swallow them as easily....... just kinda shows what danger we were in when we were kids, eh??

 

naw.. I think kids nowadays are wussies. Parents are so overprotective now

 

yeah really....... I used to stick marbles up my nose, and I turned out fine.

Hell yeah, I had transformers and go bots. Though, I was more of a Ninja Turtle and Lego kid. Good times.

yeah my brothers and I also were into he-man and gi joe as well..... I think I was most attached to transformers, though, but they ended up destroyed so fast, due to having 4 little brothers and a bunch of kids my mom babysat...

 

ya, i had some of most of the toys mentioned

and unfortunately i learned out the hard way that the go-bots that are supposed to fly apparently dont, but break into several peices when you send them airborne

 

you are 21, so ninja turtles was more of your era..... it was late 80s, I remember my younger brothers were into them, but I was a bit too old for that...

My parents knew I loved the show, but because they were short of cash I had to settle for Go-Bots.
