I am New Age BTW, so this is pretty much from a New Age perspective.
Me and my my friend got some INSANE hash ($8 a gram, I am SO lucky.) and we took a couple of hits each. That day we pretty much figured out how the universe works.

Now I am not going to go into details, since that will require a whole book, and I am saving that dedication to peyote, when I feel I am ready to take it.

Now, the bible speaks of God as infinite, and that is true, and since the universe is infinite, I'd dare say God didn't make the universe, he IS the universe.
Now, I guess I can start buy saying, as a lot of you know, we have a Horroline (sp?), which is a line from our Crown Chackra through our energy centres, into the centre of the earth, and we get our energy from the earth. Now, the earth gets it's energy from the sun, and the sun gets it's energy from the centre of the galaxy. And the galaxy gets it's energy from the centre of the universe, where our souls (or rather soul, I'll explain later) are housed. Now, I feel there is one truth, and only our soul knows that truth. I feel we are all different minds but one soul (the centre of the universe, where all the energy and the ultimate truth is stored.) and we are all connected in that way. Most people use there minds, and thus can be far from the truth since minds reason, and your soul just contains the ultimate truth, since we use thought, which can only contemplate the past and the future, and since the past happened already, it shouldn't worry us, and people who only think of the future and lives in the future, can't truly exist, since the future doesn't exist. We should live in the now, through the past. (We should use our knowledge and experience to live the best we can in the now.) We shouldn't EVER let the future come into mind, since it doesn't exist, we should only use the past to make the best decisions in the now, and the future would be fine.

Now the other thing is, we can accept energy from our souls, or we could block it off. Accepting it is infinity, and not accepting it is nothing. There is no "wrong", only lack of good. There is no "bad" or "negative", there is only nothing and infinity. "Bad" karma is when you have a lack of good, or took someone else's good away, and good karma is when you live in the truth (good) and help others come close to the truth. (By doing "good deeds")
We can choose to either live in the darkness (lack of light, not something in it's self) or live in the light. Negatives do not exist, because how can you have less than nothing of anything, so there is no such thing as a bad experience, only an experience with no good in it.

In a nutshell, we can choose to either receive energy from our Soul/God/Universe/Whatever you want to call it or not, it is all about what you want.

Anyway, there is another thing, since the universe is all just one thing, and we are just part of that one thing, our chackras are actually just the universes chackras. Base Chackra: Atoms (the base of what all that exists is made out of.) Spleen: Organs, that which makes us run. Solar Plexus: Organisms, all living beings (including plants) are the solar plexus. Heart: Planets (like the earth) are the heart charckra. Throught: Stars are the throught charckra of the universe. Third eye: Galaxies are the third eye of the universe. Crown: The center of the universe, which is what we call our Soul, is the crown chackra of the universe.

I can not remember if I said this, but on that same channelling session the Centre told me that I should eat the cactus I was looking at at the time. (I had a suspicion it was a Peruvian Tortch, but it ended up to be a Cordon Grande, (T. Teresekii) so I am hopefully going on a trip this weekend.)

    Welcome to mind expansion 101.

Hashish has inspired dreams in mankind for a long time. It breaks down the filters we use in daily life, allowing for a little wider view thru the hole in the fence.

But, you flew there on a magic carpet made of smoke.

While you can taste of this transendental state for a few moments, you have no power to stay there.

You can only obtain that high state by work on the self. Expanding awareness as you live life, is natural and everlasting.

Just be aware. But do not allow what you will see to fascinate you for very long.

    A spiritual journey requires movement.

Thanks, I try and meditate every day, and channel with and without drugs, but hash just seems to make it easier to get there, and the meditation and channelling helps with staying there.

Maybe then, the universe is sort of like a donut, and we are spiralling around it without being able to see the center, since we can only perceive that which we are spiralling in, and the center is what we believe to be the nothing?
That reminds me of a line from the Tao :
"Thirty spokes are united around the hub of a wheel, but the usefulness of the wheel depends on the space where nothing exists."

Man, these are my favorite discussions. There's really no arguing that should take place...as it's mostly just opinion (based on things we hold to be "facts," ie. the most probable).

Anyways, I absolutely love philosophy and in much of written philosophy (old philosophers) you'll see a common theme. That being, no situation in and of itself is either "good" or "bad," it's how we look at it that determines our mindset towards it. Basically what it should be labeled (bad/good) and therefore thought as. So I think you're right in assuming that there is essentially no situation that is entirely bad or good. Rather there's only scenarios that are lacking of one and overly abundant of the other, according to our POINT OF VIEW. We make it so, depending on how we as an individual choose to look at it...we're often influenced by others, so are we really individually looking at it even when it's only us contemplating it? (Yes and no...I think....that requires an entire thread though...I'll explain more if you want) That's where the "balance" comes in to play (Ying Yang). Only we can truly offset that balance, by voluntarily (as far as I can tell it is) choosing how we look at "it". Then again, perhaps we maintain that balance by being able to make up our own minds about it, because perhaps we really throw more "bad" or "good" into the realm of existence by doing so, which could be needed. Of course that might not be and we could simply be offsetting the "balance". Naturally neither is a possible scenario as well.

Another common theme of philosophy (at least with many of the philosophers whose work I read most) is exactly along the lines of what you said regarding time. The concept that we live in the here and now...the past helps to define us, and the future will eventually, but it's the here and now that defines us the most. It is literally what makes us "us." Due to my deep love for theoretical knowledge (can be dangerous at times) and study of Metaphysics this new ideology behind Quantum Mechanics is very interesting. Plus I'm a huge fan of both Democritus and Epicurus, so the atom and it's various functions I find to be fascinating. What I'm trying to get at is that we may actually be able to affect the past...perhaps we already are and we just don't know. Granted it's not clearly "evident" to us, so trying at this point would be pretty futile, as with the legitimacy of this discussion. It's just that we literally cannot conceive of it and therefore it does not exist to us, at least not to our naked senses. Perhaps that's what is at the center.....the accumulation of all...ie. "time" (not according to our concept as it is very flawed), souls, matter, etc...etc...

Well, I feel as though if I continue blabbering I'll go off on a tangent my friend, those are my thoughts...please feel free to pick em apart as you see fit

Oh, I'll talk more about this later....right now it's raining and fall in the NW....I gotta go sit out in this rain and sip on some tea (contemplation time!)

^Interesting, but I still say there is such a thing as a good situation, but there is no such thing as a bad situation, there is only a less good situation and a better situation, there is no bad, no negative, only positive and neutral. It is a great way to keep yourself positive at all times if you just think of that.
Anyway, I thought of a way to restore the balance in our society. Since we all get our energy from the earth, but we are destroying it, all we have to do is channel to the center and channel energy from the center, to our galaxy, and from the galaxy to the sun, and from the sun to the earth, so that the earth can thrive again.

How does an infinite universe have a center? The Grey matter in your head is clearly blocking your souls potential. Instead of suppressing it with hash you should shatter it with a bullet.

How so? (That there's only good situations and not bad?) That alone would completely offset whatever balance there is....assuming of course that there is a "balance" (who knows eh?) Even if there are only good situations, then why are we then given the ability to look at them so horribly (wouldn't that ability in itself be a "bad situation"). It's obvious that we largely determine the state of whatever situation is taking place, by forming either a good or bad opinion on it (it's clearly not that black and white, but you understand). So, if in our minds we make a scenario out to be bad, then to us is it not bad? And vice versa for good. To the individual it is, so although really no situation in and of itself is good or bad, because no conscious opinion as been formulated regarding "it"....it is unknown, which doesn't go to say "it" doesn't exist, it just means that according to us it can neither be labeled bad or good. When you look at the determining factor in the decision as to whether it is "bad" or "good" it is the individuals mindset...so although we could discuss and debate the existence of good or bad situations really neither exist to us, until they are exposed...and even then we must first examine and label them to be one or the other (or in between, etc...). So essentially our labels begin to represent a scenario/situation more than "it" actually represents itself.
(Perfect example being our concept of time)

Ahhh, hehehe, very plausible suicide would be in a situation as only acknowledging the "now". :]
