"Fox News is either evil or stupid for not mentioning that Alwaleed bin Talal is News Corp.'s largest shareholder."
    -Jon Stewart

"If we want to cut off funding to the terror mosque, we must, together as a nation, stop watching Fox."
    - Jon Stewart

If Ronald Raygun was on the scene his comment would likely be "there he goes again..." as Jon Stewart goes after the truth behind the noise about the proposed mosque blocks away from so-called 'ground zero' in NYC.

Jon Stewart is some sort of modern-day hero for humorously and ruthlessly going after some of today's criminal/politician/powers-that-be.

i dont watch fox news at all, and frankly I have also given up watching Jon Stewart. The former co-host of Short Attention Span Theater has been critical of media figures for being dishonest about their motives, but I find him a little hypocritical for veiling his own political motivations as comedy. No I dont like overly right wing fox, but the extremely jewish comedy being used to promote his own political views is equally insulting. I long for a day when media offers facts without forcing the reporters bias down my throat.

Also, I find it hilarious that Stewart has put an Arab face on his self-declared enemy.... it was him that played the race card and hes right to do so? Idk about that

so yeah, i ignore em all since neither are really doing their job. They have sort of traded jobs, Fox news being the joke and the comedian is all politics.

You do realize Jon Stewart is not a reporter, he is a comedian and the Daily show is not a news show it's a comedy! :p

That you are offended by Steward is particularly telling, me thinks...:D

Stewart's promoting his own political views? What views? ;)
    remember... C-O-M-E-D-Y

...and what the hell's wrong with Jewish humor?
's fucking hilarious if you ask me. Stewart's good at it.
I mean he's no Mel Brooks or Woody Allen but hey...:p

Jon Stewart is a patriotic hero, but not nearly as much of one as Larry Flynt.

I got neg rep for posting on this thread, and before I get anymore let me state..... Its not that i dont like jewish people its that I dont think Jon Stewart is funny!!!

    Im sorry if you think its that I dont like Jews or whatever race, I thought I made it perfectly clear that I dont want comedians dealing me news and I dont like news thats a joke. It aint about what religion anyone is, its about how obnoxious people get ignored on my television. :{

The problem is, that all the TV news is a joke. (Except for maybe PBS, I've never watched it.)

The way I see it, comedy is a much better side-dish to life than horror.

that is exactly what i am saying.... I have given up watching news or even news parodies because there isnt really any difference. Im way more likely to be watching cartoon network or TurnerClassicMovies than news/comedy shows passing themselves off falsely as one another.

Maybe using the venue of comedy to address some of these issues achieves more than just annoying you. Maybe it puts these issues in front of an audience that otherwise would not hear about them because they can't stand watching the "news".

Comedy has been used for eons to poke jabs at those in power and provide political commentary. The court jester was the only one who could question and make remarks to the king without fear of death. A fool to some, a political sage to others.
Jon Stewart's form of political satire is needed and greatly appreciated by many.
Concerning his espousing his own views, well it's his fucking show, what else do you expect? You are giving voice to your opinions in this forum. He is doing the same thing as you, he just has a better agent.
