I can't believe what I'm seeing! Instead of the usual bash the democrats, defend Bush, Fox News has all of a sudden abandoned their usual right-wing opinion dominated broadcasting. Now I'm seeing them report actual news, discuss OTHER things other than politics, and looking like a NORMAL news network! It even goes further. They're BASHING BUSH! They reported the recent teleconference Bush had with soldiers in Iraq, including the fact that despite being billed as a spontaneous interview, they showed footage of the soldiers being coached, including reciting their answers in advance. For them this presidential hypocricy was the top story for the day too! I just watched the O'Reilly Factor and instead of his usual anti-left rant, he was discussing ANTS! Yes, ants! For once O'Reilly was calm, without the usual foaming at the mouth and finger pointing. What's fox news coming too? Well there are some very likely reasons why this has happened. The day I watched this change of content on Fox, it also happened to be the day that Karl Rove was being grilled by a grand jury, a possible prelude to his being indicted. What has Rove got to do with Fox News? Well, since Rove's been around, he's the one who's been providing Fox news with their talking points, most likely via Rupert Murdock, or directly to the likes of O'Reilly. These points were usually defending Bush from attacks by the rest of the media and the likes of terrorists like Cindy Sheehan. Another possibility is that Murdock, sensing the change of wind on Capitol Hill has had the sense to abandon his puppet before his puppet takes him down the tubes too. Guilt by association is spreading all over Washington these days. Finally as Bush's rating slide, Fox New's ratings are likely also to be sliding since they are virtually his personal mouthpiece in the media. So to salvage the network, they probably decided it would be wise to stop backing bush to save what's left of their audience. Also since there is so much Republican Bushit piling up in the White House and Congress these days, it's going to occupy the media in months to come, so if Bush's buddies start to fall, continuing to attack the attackers, would only make Fox's "newscasters" sound more shrill and desperate to defend him. The only issue the Fox ppl are still discussing is Bush's choice for Supreme Court. Perhaps Bush picked a friend, to make sure he'd have one when he goes to court to defend all his abuses as president.
Seem's to help their rating's,and since it's "ALL" about the rating's, show's bias isn't their main goal....
Those aren't the latest stats. Bush was also doing a lot better in July 2004!!! Yes, that is the survey you offered up. http://www.usatoday.com/life/columnist/mediamix/2004-07-25-media-mix_x.htm Try again. This time use some recent stats.
Like rats fleeing a sinking ship, as people like Rove, Libby, Delay, etc. get indicted, people no longer fear the power they once wielded, and more people come forward, providing evidence to prosecute those who abuse their power. The days of the Republicans ruling Amerikkka may be numbered!
http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117929812?categoryid=1275&cs=1why dont you try to look it up yourself? why say something that can be proven wrong in .02 second's.. the first link showed a 13% increase, this one show's a 31% increase, Have it your way !
I won't be happy until the day Bush is impeached and in jail. Rove and all of these other idiots are just pawns, meant to defend the real money grabbing war criminal.
Yes, those are remarkable stats (CNN increased 39% in the same period), and are due to the Hurricane Katrina bringing in tons of viewers. The POST Katrina period however means that FoxNews has probably LOST that many viewers, thus the RECENT drop that I am referring to, likely resulting in the recent change of editorial content.
It's truly all about money and power, and there is NO loyalty in that arena. Bush thought he was under their wing...in with the in crowd...maybe even controlling them... So long buddy! Sayonara! F#ck off
