my step dad in in the living room watching football and he's freaking out yelling "OH MAN HE MISSED IT" "LOOK AT THIS SHIT....what did you do? what did you do?" then i hear thuds as his feet stomp the floor. more of "GET THE BAAAALL" and some clapping to go with that...... man i wish i could get that excited over something on tv.......
He sounds like your average American, and that's a good thing since they're all, like, patriotic and stuff.
you should see my dad at my softball games, or my brothers football games, and after when they talk about them. usuall theres always a (insert name) sucks! he fucking sucks! ah my poor dad
Football's not even about America, Matt. It's about watching over paid jocks beat the hell out of other, over paid jocks..........ok I see you're point, it's quite American, and pointless. But it's fun as hell to watch
Maybe he bet his nest egg on West Virginia. Football is a great sport. It's a lot more than the players on the field, there's a lot of strategy going on behind the scenes.
its fun to watch the guy with the ball run his little legs off while the entire opposing team is on his tail. that's what i love about it and the pants
Typical of a society in decline. Our gladiator games may not be as gruesome as those of the Romans, but they are just as indicative of the deacay of our civilization as the Roman gladiatoial games were of theirs. The thing that interests me is that the cycles of social change which drive the rise and fall of various civilizations are speeding up. We can recognize the signs of our society in rapid decline, for roughly 50 years we have been able to track it's progress. Are we the generation which will see it's complete downfall? If so, when a new civilization rises form the ashes of this one, what effect will our influence have?
