I would think it really doesn't matter. If you're taking them saturday I think you'd be fine, just keep them somewhere dark, and not warm enough to melt them..like on the back of a top shelf, so no one would see them. If you were storing them for a week or longer I would put them in the fridge at most.

vacuum seal 'em, in order to preserve them the most....Shouldn't really matter though.

i dont think you'd have a problem freezing, but i dont really see the point? sealed in the fridge should be fine.

I had some chocolates which I left inside of a jar, out of the light, room temperature for a bit over a month... took them the other day and knocked my socks off

    1 week? No problem

Also if you don't have a vacuum sealer, closing the bag almost all the way and sucking the air out yourself is a good temporary idea.

Putting them in the freezer is just fine. In fact, it's my preferred way to store chocolates. Just make sure they're wrapped in foil and you'll be fine.

yeah, I woke up this morning to see how they were doing and one of them was really squishy so I imediately put them in some tinfoil, wrapped it in siran wrap and tossed it in a sandwich bag which I put in a dark spot in my freezer. I appreciate the information, I hope they will be fine.

It's a waste of time and they won't look as pretty. Keep them somewhere in btween room temp and fridge temp.
