Has anyone actually made something from french knitting (apart from tea coasters)? I suppose if you made it big enough you could make a beanie but seriously, what the hell is the point of it (apart from it being fun)? Has anybody got any ideas or things they have made from French Knitting to share?
i think it's corking http://images.google.com/images?lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=French Knitting&sa=N&tab=wi
its good for making draw strings with ) but aside from that, no i never found a good use for it.. ...except making little mice... i made a lot of little french knitted mice when i was a kid haha
It's just like the knitfty knitter.... You can actually make clothing and bags and hats and cozies and all sorts of items with it.
I did a search and found a picture. It looks like a technique for making sinnets. Drawstrings and the cores for shroud-laid ropes are a couple of uses for the technique.
