I live in a small dinky little town in South Dakota. Recently I was arrested for felony possesion of marijuana amoung other things. If you have over an ounce it's a felony here. My boyfriend, who was on parole, was driving. I had alot of friends before this. My phone rang constantly, people were always coming over and now they have all dissappeared. Now being that i live in a small town the rumor that you are a rat, snitch, or what ever one may call it is bond to hit the airways. But since it is such a small community that it's like one big shit talking orgy. The people that i thought were my friends turned their back with no questions in their minds. Yes i have confronted these people and even offered to show them my paperwork. They seem to believe but then it's back to the old ways. I can't stand it here and i have to wait around and go to court i just wanna get out of here. Out of the bull shit and go somewhere that hardly anyone knows me. Where no one knows my past or anything about me. I feel like a loser. Like I shouldn't exists. Do these people who say are my friends acutally really care or are they just hanging out to get high. oh that really sucks, i'm sorry. Sometimes people can be real idiots. If they turn their backs when you needed them, they are not worthy of being called friends. seriously, no real friend would ever do that. anyway, hope you sort out your court stuff and move somewhere else..best of luck PS: I loooooove Jonesy too
eh, they weren't really your friends if they turned on you like that....i'd say good riddance and move on. it does suck you got busted for felony possession though. hope it works out for ya.
if you snitched on someone- you suck and deserve what you are getting. If you didn't then they suck and you don't deserve it at all!
maybe they are afraid that she is being watched or something of the such.. possibly they are afraid that being around her, might make them guilty by association.
i guess it doens't matter much what happened, it all depends on what the town's attitude towards ya is. getting out sounds like a great idea.
i was arrested in 2000 felony ... for selling esctasy... my husband who was my boyfriend then was arrested with me. we sold a lot... well med a lot and we could have gotten busted with MUCH more then what we had then. anyways we were ratted out by this dude trying to save his own ass. yah. um afterwards we lost friends. we didnt even rat anyone out but it seemed to show two things people's fears about that shit and that maybe certain people were just using us? who knows but yah having a felony sucks my advice to you and something i KNOW you can do (least in my state which is PA) get it expunged you can do it but it will cost
They were hanging around you to get high. Welcome to the world of illegal drugs. I'm not trying to be an ass, but it's the truth. I speak from experience.
and btw you might not realize yet why you need to get it expunged but if you have any goals job wise, career wise and they arent like business yah... wont happen i havent done it yet either but all you do is pay a lawyer a few grand and you have to prove things.... but
a few grand is a rip off, we do em for $750 with the attorney present. if you had a paralegal do it for you, you can go to court yourself, no lawyer fees. They are pretty simple, as long as you are off probation and have completed everything that went along with your probation.
