I've been busted twice in my life, and you continue to fuck up my life. Now i know that it is good to have cops for "real" crimes. Marijuana consumtion should not be a crime. Actually the use of any drug should not be a crime. Shooting someone now that's a crime.

Cops need to quit wasting time busting us and go out and bust the real assholes!

 

cops are doing their jobs, same as the guys who pick up your trash every Tuesday. Complain to the legislators not the enforcers

Some cops aren't just doing their jobs though. Some of them fuck with us just to fuck with us.

They're a necessary evil though.

 

but if the legislators weren't the anti-pot ones the cops wouldn't fuck with nobody even the power hungry ones. Know who you elect in 2008!!! Wow political praise 20 months before the election jesus christ

 

I have some close friends that are cops. They are great people...just doing their jobs...just like you and me.

 

If you have a harassment problem with the cops, that's why we have the ACLU, go to aclu.org and look up your local chapter and take it from there.

Stand up for and know your rights! Cause the cops will infringe on your rights if you let them!

yes cops are just enforcing their job but they tend to be really egotistic, powerhungry people who take it to a new level. It is not nessesary to point a gun at some kid whos sitting there rolling a joint and then knock him to the ground and cuff him. Cops often take their job of enforcing the law to another level.

 

They don't tend to be egotistic. The majority of cops I've encountered are a lot like you and me. Your example with the gun...you make that sound like the norm, come on get with it man. That is the rare exception. It is potheads like you that blow the issues of the LEO out of proportion that hinder the effort of marijuana advocates

How about, fuck most cops, because they can be real assholes. I love the cop at my school because hes not a power hungry maniac. He caught me smoking a cig at school once and didnt even write me a ticket.

 

Take it up with the people who make the laws, not the ones who enforce them

 

i agree fully with TheShow, cops are just trying to make a living, and desert nightmare, you sir are very ignorant, they dont make the laws they just enforce them, true some cops are very crooked and corrupt, but that is no reason to give ALL cops a bad name and say they are powerhungry pigs, you want a powerhungry pig, look at the president, look at joe liberman, dont look at the ppl that protect us

 

Ok i'll say that i did come out a bit rough yesterday about this. I was just pissed cus my friend got busted for some stupid shit and the cops were just being real assholes. I agree that not all cops are assholes, and that they are just doing there jobs, and that they aren't the ones making the laws. Now I'm all for cops going out there and bustring real criminals, but i don't see why when one of them sees a pothead smoking a joint they can't just leave them alone for instance. And just go about their business and arrest some real criminals. That's the point i'm tring to make. Not all cops are like that i agree. I know a cop that signaled me over to him, asked me if i was selling drugs when both of us clearly knew i did, and all he did was basically tell me not to do it and that it is bad, and i went on about my day. But not all cops are like that. In fact about 95 precent of them in my hometown are real asshole when it comes to simple little shit like i was talking about earlier. Am i ignorant?

well th reason that they arent just leaving us alone is that, if their boss found out they werent doing their job they would get fired and not be able to provide for the their family, just learn to be a little more understanding and compassionate is really what im trying to say

 

I've had many encounters with cops, not all have been arrests..i know a few cops. This is not a rare encounter at all and im not looking at it from a "pothead" perspective. Ever sat in a police station and listened to what they talk about? The cops sound and look more like criminals then the people they arrest. The majority, though not all, are big guys who couldn't get the education for a better job and decided to shoot for the glory and power of being a cop. First time i was arrested my arresting officer said "oh yeah i'm going to get a medal for this one." In the station all they do is sware and make snide comments like "Ya havin a good day buddy?" and compare their arrests. The only person that could ever bring themself to become a cop would be someone with a rather large ego, cops who are only doing it to protect the community are one in a million. That said, i've been friendly with cops and talking to them off duty, they are much nicer but still carry that vibe of authority. Only an egotistical power craving person could get such satisfaction from arresting their fellow man and treating them so degradingly. If they do what they do only for the good of the community and they abide by the laws they are enforcing, there is what a cop is supposed to be.

 

Fuck cops, fuck legislators, fuck the government.

 

actually, i want to become a cop, but i'm obviously gonna be a really chill cop. and when i see kids smoking up, i'd go join them
