New orleans. you've got a logistical problem a BIG FUCKING ONE. you've got people shooting at you, stealing from you, stealing from each other, shooting at each other. it's basically a mini iraq. except one problem. you know HOW HARD IT IS TO SEND PEOPLE TO HELP!? to maintain those people?!

you know how much of a FUCKING miracle it is that they sent 200 000 troops almost all the way around the world to iraq in one month? set up bases and have proper equipment, food, and maintenance. ALL WITHIN A MONTH!?
you know how many other nations in the world can do that? TAKE A WILD GUESS. ZERO.
canada has fucking trouble with logistics sending 2000 people across the world and maintaining them. let alone 200 000.

now new orleans. like i said, what the fuck do you want them to fucking do!?

new orleans is basically a mini iraq. except you don't just shoot anyone, which makes things a lot harder. no one there can care for themselves unlike iraqi civilians who can survive on their own at the moment. and you have no mode of transporting things in and out, which logistically FUCKS EVERYTHING UP.

plus it doesnt ufkcing help that there are crazy people raping, stealing and shooting EVERYTHING.

sure send help. just watch, send help and watched them get raped and pillaged.

the only thing ANY other nation can do is send more armed troops. and why would any other nation do that when the americans can do a better job at it?

need food? why do that when the americans can do that as well?

clean up crew? well fuck that, don't even think about cleaning up till the city is under control.

i'm surprised the city hasn't gone under martial law yet. it should be. the city is in a state of chaos and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

There was a fully equiped relief ship just off shore with everything needed including amphibious landing craft. The only thing they lack is/was orders or in civilian jargon permission!

The fact is they could have done more by acting SOONER!! They knew the Hurricane was coming where was the preperation? The state government knew that New Orleans consisted of alot of poor people who couldn't evacuate, they could have done more to try and get the people out before the storm hit. Now after the storm the federal government should have acted quicker. Our president, the president of the United fucking states thought the biggest natural disaster in U.S. history wasn't worth leaving vacation early. Where were the helicopters right away? Where were the national gaurd? Where was the U.S. military? It took over 5 days to get proper help!! 5 days!! I don't see how people here could say they couldn't have done more then they did. I gaurantee if this was New York City things would have been MUCH MUCH different. As much as it hurts to say race had alot to do with the poor job done in dealing with this
disaster.
