Fucking scary

So, a few hours ago I smoked a j and went to chill at guitar center.

For those of you who don't know, guitar center is a magical place where dreams come true and you can play expensive guitars that you could never afford for as long as you want. I was in the accustic room when I spotted a beutiful 12 string. It was hanging on the wall, almost to high up for me to reach it. But I got it down. I glanced at the price tag, 2,500 dollers. I played it for a while, then decided to put it back. Like I said, it was hanging up, far above my head. I got it up there, then went across the room to find a different guitar. About 30 seconds after Id walked away from the 12 string, I glanced back.

I don't know if it was because I was high, or because the strap it was hanging from broke, but I watched in horror as it fell. Bouncing off of at least 4 guitars on it's way down, it brought 2 guitars to the ground with it. Terrifyed, I ran over to see if they were damaged. The 2 that were brought down with the other guitar seemed fine, but the 2,500 doller 12 string wasn't so fucking lucky. Horrifyed, I stared at the guitar. The neck had snapped and was just hanging on by the strings, and the front of the body had a giant crack in it.

I was high, so I didn't know what the fuck to do. After standing in akward terror for awhile, I decided the best thing to do would be to hang up the undamaged guitars, and just leave the other one on the floor. I then pretended that nothing had happened and went back to playing guitar.

One of the worker guys came in a while later, and looking at the guitar rather shocked, said, "WHAT HAPPENED?!?" I told him that I had been sitting playing guitar, and it had fell. I guess he believed me because he just took it and left.

It ended ok, but I was really scared for about 10 minutes that I would have to pay for it. (being high probably didn't help)

coulda happened to anyone.. im definitely going to remember this story next time i am baked and go jam at a guitar center... that would totally suck having to pay for guitar worth more than my car..

you're lucky it didnt damage any of the other ones on the way down too lol

im guessing very cool.. cause if i were him and saw a kid all stoned and jammin on a 2,500$ 12-string.. and i come in 10 mins later and the shit is busted i woulda known it didnt just fall off the wall by itself haha..

That would have been awful, I was high as kite and broke matts slide, I was freaking I was alone and scared all day he was going to be pissed. lucky he was cool about it

Lmao... this brought up a memory

I was buying my first electric (a shitty Strat copy) at a not so local store. It came with a goodie bag including a backpack like case for it. Now the store was really tiny, it was full of awesome guitars, and had epic antique ones hanging down from the ceiling throughout... So being the excited lil dude i was, i pulled the guitar on my back, completely unuware that the headstock was over a foot above my head at this point, grabbed the amp and started to march out... Midway the neck collided with a hung guitar in such a force it pushed it back, into the next guitar... it was like a domino effect on 5-6 hanging guitars... i began shitting brix, but they didnt fall and the people were really cool about it. No harm done.

But damn i get into stupid shit stoned too... and all it does is increase the size of the brix.

 

its alright man...did you know that guitar center markup is outrageous?

 

yeah, why I didnt feel bad gutting a pedal and fixing mine and returning the broken one I had.. I mean I returned the new one with the old guts in it.. :cheers2:
