Gardening today

I'm planting sunflowers, Dill, and fennel :cheers2: hows your garden doing?

 

Ooooo.....Sunflowers


Our garden is just awesome, thank you. Everything's blooming. Cherries, figs....It smells nice.

 

I would love to grow figs, being a baker that would rock they wouldn't stay on the bush long!

 

All my herbs have sprouted.
I'm going to plant my basil in the next few days, it's finally getting hot enough for them to do real well.
I have some cinnamon basil. I'm really interested in what that will be like...

So far I have cilantro, flat leaf parsley, fennel, dill, caraway, taragon, marjoram, baby mustard greens, thyme, sage, and red veined sorrel.

 

i planted some sunflowers yesterday! i also put a lilac bush in and some morning glories i had laying around. i can't wait for them to bloom

 

i live in an apartment.

That shouldn't stop you from getting a few planters though.

Gardens are sort of my dad's thing. He even grows lemons.


But I really want sunflowers and wisteria.

 

what the fuck's with all the flowers and herbs? doesn't anyone grow veggies anymore?

 

eh, i guess i could. wouldn't feel right though if i can't put it in the ground.

 

do you have a cherry tree? i'm just wondering if there's another way to grow cherries then a tree!

 

I'm planning on moving soon, so I'm not going to plant veggies until I know that I can reap the rewards. I would like a lemon tree too but they don't do well in Ontario without having some kind of greenhouse

 

Grow tomatoes in pots and have a window box.


I have tomatoes, roma and lemon boy, growing in pots and the ground. I have marigolds in window boxes, and lilac trees, morning glories, a rose bush, and a clematis. Not bad for a tiny back yard with no lawn.

 

Yes, a few cherry trees.
And 'we' grow a lot of other types of fruit and vegetable.

I'm not too proud of that.

 

also, now that i think about it, my apartment is pretty much in the shade all day...

carrots, onions, radishes all take up practically no space at all.

 

There are plenty of shade loving flowers...

 

i don't believe in flower gardening. i want to grow some fucking sweet corn and peas.
