Gay at birth?

Just to start this off..lets try and be kind to our fellow humans and not bash...
This is a discussion and not a bash festival at all..if you feel the need to hate, go bang your head on a brick wall..then come back and respond..thank you

There have been many claims that people could be possibly be born gay...Do you think this is true?

or are there other reasons?

For the past few weeks I've been listening to a lot of psychiatrists. They all say everything that happens to a child is its mother's fault.
So if you're gay, your mom probably screwed up big time.

 

i don't believe it.

They have done studies which suggest that adopted twins are less likely to both be gay, than otherwise (see articles below).

I think we are all perhaps in some way predisposed to our resulting sexual orientation, however I think there are many factors through our lives which influence our preference.

Saying that though, I started fancying girls when I was 6 years old, so perhaps genetics are to play and I was born heterosexual, or at least partly so.

I think what is often missed in peoples interpretation of sexuality though, is that sex and gender itself can be a very complex issue as well. I think that humans are just attracted to and repelled by each other in a variety of complex ways that just donot always fit into neat ordered categories.

IF youre gay your mom screwed up big time? I dont buy it. Especially because being gay isnt a screw up.

i dont think so, i think you find out your sexuality at puberty, when you begin to wonder things and know what you like and what you dont.... lol.

Nah, its not the mom's fault unless you blame her genetics. Some boys like to play with dolls, some girls like to play with trucks, they can't help it. Me, I liked to take my sister's barbie's clothes off so she can hump the bear.

I dont know if you could actually blame the genetics. Cause that would mean that there is a disorder in someone's genome. And that would mean that being gay is a disorder. And what do you do if there's a disorder ? You treat it.

FYI, this is just logical thinking. Its not MY opinion.

yep, I think people are born gay. but I don't think it has anything to do with genetics or the way they are raised. just something different in their brains. there are also lots and lots of examples of gay animals (my ex had two gay mice) so it's certainly natural.

oh, and the shrinks who say that everything that happens to a child is the mother's fault are retards who should try thinking for themselves instead of hailing Freud as the second coming.

Lol. I do agree on that..The easiest thing is to blame the mothers ( probably non stay at home moms ).
I wouldnt agree that being gay is natural. I dont wanna sound like a homophob, but I think its deviant behaviour.

 

hey, natural to me means it's going on in nature. and there are many species of animals that engage in homosexuality. but I suppose you consider snowballing and fecalphelia deviant behavior as well, you uptight prude

 

Hey you ! I am not uptight, and I am definately not a prude. But yeah, I dont like snowballing. However, I dont have anything against people who like it.
I do consider fecalphelia a bit too much..atleast for my taste.

anyway... i'm not really sure, but i kind of lean toward the idea that you're gay at birth, at least in most cases
