Whereas people with no souls seem to live in the same town or work in the same job for many years. I know there are a lot of exceptions to this, but over my life I have observed that the people I really like seem to come and go like migratory birds (some of whom I keep in touch with) whilst the people I couldn't give a crap about are always there, eternally stagnating.

i'm genuine and funny and i've been pretty idle for a while now.

so i have to conclude that it's really just interesting people that you're describing.

I've moved over 10 times in 3 years. I'm just still looking for something. Not something I'm going to find by moving a lot, but defiantly nothing I can find by being somewhere I'm not completely fulfilled.

I'm not a monster. I can be fulfilled. And until I am, I'm moving a lot. I'm moving again in August. Austin, Houston, Wichita, or Milwaukee.

    Harsh.

The only person I have to be responsible to is myself. And I support myself well. ;)

I went through a similar sort of thing after I moved out of my parent's place 5 years ago....I never really had time to stagnate or feel that bad about anything. It was around the time I ran out of money in Scotland and had no physical energy left that I realized that I just didn't have the health to keep moving around, so I've been back in my home city for 2 years now and am still struggling to find the money or energy to do anything else. I've watched a lot of friends come and go, and yet I still seem to work or live alongside the same boring assholes I care nothing for. I feel like a park bench, powerless to move while life moves all around me. Oh yeah, and for now there is little hope of finding a 'place' where I can feel contented, although I do find the best approach to that problem is to find contentment in the mind first.

Some of the people I am talking about have moved away and gotten married, or are pursuing their careers elsewhere and doing really well for themselves. I don't just mean aimless bums, although I really, really like aimless bums.

It's a generalization like any other (this coming from someone who's moved 13 times in his life).
