I am gonna be going to Get Lucky 09 on march thirteenth im hella excited i plan on takin 4-8 good pills, and dropping a hit or two of lsd... i have only done acid once and it want like full out i guess but i have alot of experience with e... almost everyone i know says that that will be way to hardcore to do at my first rave.. i know i can most likely handle it but does anyone have any advice or experiences, stories anything that could help
LOL CANDYKID. ummm, the first rave i went to i candyflipped on the most official g lady i've ever had and 2 mad strong blotters and it was the illest. like the best time at a party, quite possibly. but you're a candy kid. aren't y'all supposed to be mad druged out anyhow?
hmmmmmmmmm, acid at a hudson party is pretty bunk.... or is it at pharoahs... sorry man those places gross me out.... although DJ Dan will be there, he is dope!!! recently crews have been decking out the hudson/gotham and pharoahs pretty sweet, but yeah for a first party, you might be kind of shocked. there ain't much plurr at those parties, just underaged bro's and ho's wandering around aimlessly on too many pills repping trend-ism, social hierarchies, and gross materialism. You can always just close your eyes and let the music guide you, but tripping or sober the socal rave scene is disgusting. you picked like the last party in San Bernadino before they are all 18+, the ptots will be out in full force that night lol... hey maybe i'll see you there!!! ;p
This isnt in SoCal its in SLC, and ya I have done alot of drugs at high doses, and alot of drug combinations that probably wasnt always very safe but i handledit pretty well every time... I wouldnt say Im drugged out all the time, but when I want to party I fucking party dude...
http://www.plurlife.com/view_event.php?event_id=1339 hmmmmm???? http://www.plurlife.com/view_event.php?event_id=1505 ooooooooh... is that a deadmau5 i see!? dude hell yea, melt that fucking dance floor
to bmw5233": i can understand why you say that, and often have similar thoughts... but for the sake of debate, prepare to be bunked. Deadmau5 is a good performer, threw down a mighty good set at Hard Haunted Mansion last halloween. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7tI1E6kp0o--- Make sure to watch the whole thing, or at least fast forward, the first minute or so is a gag. best to listen to around 6 min, and the buildup from 8 min to the end. he is workin' that crowed HARD. but seriously, Deadmau5 may be really trendy and played out. but at least he produces and spins his own tracks, and uses ableton to throw live performance into his sets. same cannot be said for the wankers who just beatmatch, eq, and act like they are doing more than just playing other people's music. plus look at that shit man, he got that crowd soooo much more hyped than any other act that night. i don't know what else to say, so i'm just gonna go fucking wank. goodbye.
Im gettin my ticket at the door, i know all this hype about it being sold out but i know a girl that dances at some of the raves and has been to alot of them and she says people always say they are going to sell out every time at every rave and they never ever do, but this is supposed to be FUCKIN HUGE... Im so excited you have no idea i have went through so much trouble to go to this shit.... AHHH!! fuckin-a..... im buying a quater jar for one fifty, 25 hits acid, and im getting ten 2c-b for free its gonna be sick as fuck
your gonna be fucked up lol... And its not projected to sell out til around midnight when deadmau5 starts his set.
im not taking it all at once lol hell no, all of this is being split down the middle between me and my brother, im probably only gonna take three or four rolls at the rave and probably two more before 5 a.m. and maybe a 2c-b or two sometime in there and then im droppin two hits at five and takin another roll when im peaking and everything else is coming back home with me.... iv never had 2c-b before but i hear its way dank.... do you know how much tickets will be at the door
35~40 I think... I thought I saw just 35 somewhere, but the flyer says More@Door, so I'd guess no more than 45 tops
The reason I think he's a tool is pretty simple. I saw one of his charts and it had like 8 of his tracks on there. I mean, come on. I can understand putting one, maybe two, or your best work on there, but filling up your chart with your own tracks? That's total douchebaggery. Also, his production is pretty simple. Most of his tracks sound remarkably similar. I'm not saying he's not a great performer...I have not, and wouldn't ever see him play (if I had to pay). I'm not hating for no reason...I think those are pretty legit. Of course you can't deny he's hit with a big splash...but he's really no more talented than a lot of local heroes. I have much more respect for a guy like Mark Farina...a true pioneer in his genre, a superbly talented dj and producer, and a real artist.
In 2008 he became the most-selling artist on Beatport with more than 30,000 digital downloads on just Beatport alone with his singles "Not Exactly," "Faxing Berlin," and "Ghosts N Stuff"[2] On May 1, 2008, Deadmau5 became the most awarded DJ/producer/remixer of the Beatport Music Awards. He was named "Most influential, forward-thinking and relevant person" by Beatport He was also named "Producer of 2007" by DJ magazine's 2007 Top 100 winner Armin van Buuren,[5] and by runner up Tiësto. Tiesto and Armin both had some comment about how Deadmau5 was the most promising new artist or something of the sort, but I can't find it. Further controversy around Deadmau5 arose[citation needed] when he played the Essential Mix July 2008 with a tracklist consisting almost entirely of his own tracks and remixes, something which is frowned upon in the DJ scene.[citation needed] <---- douche move on his part, not his tracks parts. plus he has everything from diiirty electro to ecstatic progressive. and it's all fantastic. Also, he is allll over the sensations in Europe, which I think at least, is a pretty big deal. And the worlds top DJs have no problem playing his music... all the time. faxing berlin is still in my top three favorites. if you think all his songs sound the same, listen to faxing berlin then Hey Baby then The Reward is Cheese then Ghosts 'n' Stuff
Yeah, I'm aware of his accomplishments on beatport. No doubt he's had a lot of success there. To call him forward thinking, influential, and relevant is pretty short-sighted though. Yeah, he swept a bunch of beatport awards...but that doesn't make him a great artist. He does have some good tracks, spread across different genres. Perhaps I should've been more clear - when he does progressive house tracks they tend to sound the same...similar drum patterns, synths, and riffs just aren't too different. I totally forgot about that essential mix...that's different from the chart I was talking about...but it was around the same time. I also look at it like this: you try hitting on a thousand chicks and no dobut a few will bite...you produce a thousand tracks and no doubt a few will be good. He has a lot of garbage out there too. Tiny Dancer, anyone? I'm not saying he's not talented. He is...but we'll see if he has real staying power. And wearing that fucking mouse costume is a fucking douchebag move too. I mean god damn. If you want the scene to be perceived as mature, intelligent, and not some fucking candy kids all drugged out then get rid of the fucking mouse costume. It's retarded.
Danyo and BMW both good points man, i agree, he's got a major dose of hype and gimmick, he produced some classic tracks, but they will inevitably become played out, they're already to my ears. I wouldn't be surprised if he has disappeared by 2010. "Also, his production is pretty simple. Most of his tracks sound remarkably similar. " QFT Mark Farina, Miles Dyson, DJ Dan, Carl Cox how I get down^ speaking of which this saturday DJ Dan is at the "Get Lucky" in Southern California. too bad it is a bunk party/crackhouse for 40 bucks at the door and he only gets a 1 hour set. maybe if i had picked up 5 dollar presales, but whatever. maybe if i was OP candykid I could go make 500 dollars, keep the 2-CB, and go dance with a bunch of 14 year old gangsters/hoes who go to raves to NOT dance. hmmmm maybe not
