Getting high at work

Does anyone ever get super blazed before going in to work? I know I do Fortunately majority of people at my store smoke too, so we all chill and pass blunts around to each other behind the dumpster. I usually get baked before I leave my house and sometimes when I take a break too. I'll just sit in my car, blast some dubstep, and turn the air on (it's so bloody hot outside!) and just chill for half an hour.

What about you? If you do, are you ever afraid someone's going to mention something? If you don't, why not?

 

I hate going to work sober... It pretty much blows... Today a co-worker and I have to go slang beers at a dubstep festival... we'll be baking all the way there... and while we're working.. and hopefully someone will know where my friend molly is

 

I agree, going to work sober does blow! Smoking helps to deal with stupid and mean customers. Well, at least it makes me not give a shit as to what they're saying to me. Has anyone ever been caught and punished? At least where I work, since majority of everyone smokes, if I come in baked I wouldn't get screamed at. "Are you high?" "yep" "I can tell".

 

I get high before, during and after work. The one good thing about my job is I can smoke on the job without having to worry about getting caught.

 

I was almost caught once.. was winter time.. so a co-worker and I stepped out to my car and blazed a joint.. i saw out my rear view mirror that the kitchen manager and gm stepped outside.. so we just chilled.. finished the j and lit up cigs.. went back inside and the kitchen manager is standing in the closet right next to the back door.. and he asks me "what were you guys doing?" "we were sitting in my car listening to the radio.. smoking a cig" and he lets me go.. he pulls the other cook to the side and asks him the same question.. then comes and pulls me off the line and asks me again.. and finally he just walks away pissed because neither of us fucked up our story and he couldn't prove shit..

my current job.. it don't matter.. all the managers know who smokes weed.. they are often outside while we're smoking.. or know we are any time we're outside on break.. owners found a pipe that a co-worker accidentally left outside and nothing was done about it.. i've even talked to the owners while trying to hold a hit in...

 

*nods* yeah I usually smoke it in my car with the windows rolled up that way in case someone walks by they cant smell it. At night though we'll go outside by the back door and just hang around and smoke a blunt.

I'd be terrified that I'd be a stoned mess when a customer asks me where something is; or I'd drop a jar of sauce. Or I'd damage things cause I had munchies..

 

haha. no one at work cares.. there's cameras everywhere and cooks will walk around with grinder and pipe in hand out the back door.. the back door faces the alley.. across is another restaurant.. and a few other businesses.. day.. evening.. night.. someone is blazing out back..

 

Haha I do get pretty clumsy when I'm stoned at work. I'll be blending a smoothie or something and then knock the entire blender over. oh well. Fortunately weed doesn't get me high enough to be a total derp in front of customers, so I never have to worry about that.

 

i've forgotten $100s worth of prime rib in the oven before... spilled grease.. overflowed sinks... used up all the hot water in the building... but sober people do the same shit at work...

the only time i wouldn't blaze is whenever i had to be an in-house bartender.. i don't like being stoned around a bunch of straights and trying to take their orders and get their drinks.. i forget shit

 

*nods* yeah I could understand that. I don't like to be high around one of my superiors, because he's pretty intimidating. I don't see him around the store much, but when I do, I anticipate him bitching at me for something. Anyway, I do prefer being stoned at night. At least it's not nearly as busy then and I can just take my time to wander around the store while doing the things I gotta go.

 

my work is literally right beside a police station, so i don't think i'd easily be able to smoke outside at work, but still possible

I get clumsy as hell, forget everything, become extremely lazy, and get insane munchies when i'm high... i don't think i'd be able to work like that, i remember when i used to go to school high i could barely even function then, and that was just sitting in a desk... lol being at work is always the only one time of day i'm not high

 

as a pizza maker, as long as I got no orders to make I can take as many smoke breaks in the ally as I wish, I even match a couple people that work next door to me too at a texas steak house, I even trade them pies for dank ass food

 

Working at a pizza place would be the shit, that's where i wanted to work... i applied at 3 different pizza places, never got hired.. lol

 

At the moment I work in fast food but im looking for a new job

 

I'm a dishwasher, and on some nights I'm more of an assistant dishwasher. I smoke as much as I possibly can every day before going into work. The work is so easy that I can be blazed off my ass and not fuck anything up.

 

I work in the kitchen, but we have to do our own dishes so i'm pretty much a dish washer too 50% of the time i haate doing doing dishes, i could not do your job without going insane haha

 

Unfortuantely I don't have the option to be stoned during work. I certainly don't judge those who can smoke before and/or during work - if it were feasible for me to do it and still do a good job I definitely would.

 

i work as a baker. so it's easy as hell to take smoke breaks while the bread is in the oven, proofing, etc. in between jobs right now though.

at my old job i used to blaze up every day before work, and then again on my break, and then after i got off. i really just don't like working at most of these shit-holes sober. although recently i had been not getting so high on my break, because even though it does make the rest of my shift easier, i was really burning through alot of weed.

i was one of the head bakers at my last job, which means i have to manage 2-3 other bakers. when i was the head baker i used to tell everyone when to take their break and then usually step outside and smoke with them. this one middle aged black woman always had some real good weed that she would smoke me up with. but then the head baker thing got transferred to this mexican guy who has been working there 7 years. so i had to avoid smoking around him when he was around, but otherwise i could just blaze up with other co-workers since i pretty much was the on-site manager.
