I made flowers out of that foam stuff they have at craft stores... orange daisy shape, with a white daisy shape askew on top (so both sets of petals were visable) with a brown dot in the center. Green leaves glued behind, with raffia attaching a cheesecloth pouch holding jellybeans to the leaves via a hole punched in the tip of on. A circle of brown foam went on behind the leaves. The date of our wedding was printed on the back of the brown.

My sister bought a bunch of candles (her husband worked at a crafty place at the time and they were able to get really nice hand-made ones pretty cheap) and put them in glasses on each table for people to take. She worked at a florists at the time, so they also had tiny potted plants on each table. It was very pretty, but simple.
I eloped, so I didn't have to worry about such things. ;)

I just went to a wedding where te favor was a sack of wildflower seeds. All the seeds were from their garden. It had a really sweet thing written on the card with their wedding date about why they gave them but I forget what it said. [IMG]

    Hello,
I am really great at this wedding stuff so any advice you need beyond this let me know and I will help!
I really enjoyed putting together my wedding and helping one of my sisters in law with hers.
My wedding was in late September and I did two things for my guests. We had 15 tables at our reception and at each table was a tall vase with a flower arrangement on it. At the end of the night one person from that table got to take it home with them.
Also at each place setting were four pieces of white chocolate bundled in tulle and wrapped with a ribbon. One of the chocolates had wedding bells on it and the other three were our initials. One with my first, one with his first and one with the initial of OUR last name. I got sooooooooo many compliments on this is was unbelievable. People really enjoyed that.
For all my out of town guests I had prepared a basket full of snacks, brochures of the area, maps and a small card thanking them for traveling to be with us. This also was a huge hit!
For my sister in law we did something similar. Since I had more time for hers then I did with my own wedding I put together baskets with homemade baked goods. People really liked this too! She didn't have a sit down dinner so she opted not to give individual party favors.
My other sister in law got married in December and she left a Christmas ornament at each persons place setting. People always like getting gifts but I don't think this went off as well. They were all purchased and although it was the thought that counted it wasn't really a great thing.
One of my husbands cousins made ornaments for her gifts to her guests and that was a big hit too. I think she used a flour and water mixture and cookie cutters to make the shape, then baked, painted and strung a ribbon through for them to hang from.
Good luck and I hope this helped! Let me know if I can help further!

That's a sweet idea...that way the guests could plant them and remember the day.

When my cousion got married, I made all the little gifts for everyone. I got all different beads then made bracelets or even just charms for the ladies, and for the guys I found all these different photos and made them into a collage then put it into a keyring. It takes a while because she had loads of guests, but it was a nice idea!
