I LOVE anything and everything cats :2thumbsup: or pandas <3 and I also agree, anything from the heart is generally lovely
yeah, lots of neat shoes on that site.. I'm not a shoe person either but I am a sucker for anything retro looking
So are polar bears but I'd still like one. =p I was watching show the other day and a person in Canada has a full grown polar near as a pet and he swims with it and it doesn't eat him. Jealous.
That's cute, Irm....a pet polar bear......I think I will pass on that, though. Now, an elephant.....nah.....I couldn't. lol
The main problem with buying gifts for yourself is that they're only fun if you are a)extremely old or b) a pothead. Having Alzheimer's or stoner's memory loss means a present to yourself is a great surprise. I suppose Schizophrenics can benefit from surprise gifts to themselves too. Altho it'd probably always be things like a collection of knives, an axe and one of their Mom's dresses.
Are you sure? I thought it would be white boards, an army of dry-erase markers, cork boards, push pins, storage bins, filing cabinets ..
Hmm, probably nope. Speaking as a schizonutter myself, dry erase markers aren't the weapon of choice for wall notes. I started at a new job somewhere. To settle in on the 2nd day, I wrote across the noticeboard in huge gigantic letters:- "You don't have to be mad to work here. But it helps". Unfortunately, I got fired on the spot. No warnings, no suspension. Just fired. So I said to the boss. "Look I only said you don't have to be mad to work here". And he said "Yes, but did you REALLY need to hand-write it using your own shit..!"
Yes I regularly dress up in my dead old Mum's dresses.Not.Seriously,the presents I give to myself usually consist of music gear.
Eeeeeee! I want a Grumpy Cat stuffed animal! I try to buy myself something small around the time I get paid every two weeks, just to give myself incentive to keep slaving for the "man", lol. I got paid yesterday so I got a couple pairs of Adventure Time socks. One pair is Jake socks and the other pair has BMO. Ahhh I love them. As far as presents from other people go, I prefer to give gifts rather than receive but who doesn't like free stuff?
I remember in my drinking and substance days. Coming out of the pub, this shop window had a GIGANTIC version of the kids TV cat called Bagpuss. Who just happened to be my childhood favourite. http://www.smallfilms.co.uk/bagpuss/bagpuss.jpg Anyway, we were all talking outside, just down from the pub after it closed. Anyway, it was like Bagpuss was saying to me "You know you want me, don't you". There were no shutters, a concrete slab to "open" the window was nearby. It was a quiet area... with lots of "getaway" routes. Unfortunately, I'd recently damaged my ankle, so my getaway speed might be a bit lacking. Looking back, I think it would have took rather a lot of explaining. Being in Court, stealing a giant Bagpuss. Especially for someone training to be a lawyer at the time. Plus all the newspaper exposure that probably would have resulted. One of the group asked "Why do u keep looking behind me". And he turned round and worked out what I had planned. Fortunately they managed to drag me away from the scene of the would be crime.. : -/
"You've just purchased 1x Cat Print Boho Skater Dress An email receipt containing information about your order will soon follow. Please keep it for your records. Thank you for shopping at Crazy Cat Lady Clothing" Yeahhhh! Should be here in 3 weeks
I meant to buy myself a yoga book the other day but i bought groceries before i went to the bookstore and i didn't want the food to spoil. I want a book more about the various types of yoga and philosophy of yoga rather than a book of asanas. I've also gained about 15 lbs recently so I need to start building up my wardrobe again. I mostly shop at thrift stores but I haven't had any luck thrifting recently so I think I'm going to have to do some internet shopping
I just bought myself some Birkenstock shoes. My first successful Ebay auction. . I rarely buy things for myself, actually. I'm pretty cheap and I rarely part with my cash. Especially if I'm spending it on myself.
i guess all the weed i buy is a gift to myself. every now and then i'll buy myself a CD. someone bought me the LifeStraw online (it's a water filter for camping), i was pretty pumped about that. i could probably go for a lot of cool camping gear, a new tent, sleeping bag, a knife, things like that. a new wheel for my bike.
If I want something, I buy it myself. Seriously, you cannot afford to buy yourself a pair of tights ? ETA: my most recent purchase for myself was a travel trailer.
