Girls/Women and their courage

You wouldn't want to have a friend who laughs out loud? Or who talks honestly and frankly to her own friends when she doesn't know you're eavesdropping on her?

Sorry, but I don't get what the point of this post was. Just to piss us off?

Yeah, me either... here goes nothing.

Y'know what I don't get? Girls aren't supposed to do "things like that". We're not supposed to burp or fart or scratch or sweat or talk openly about sex with our friends... but we BLEED FROM OUR CROTCHES for a week every month. And that's no big secret. That's right, buddy. For about a week every month, we spew a couple of cups of blood from our crotches, we get bloated and constipated and gassy and irritable. In MY opinion, you can't respect a woman and ignore those things. If my husband asks what's wrong when he can clearly see that I'm not feeling good, I tell him. And he appreciates me saying, "My period's really heavy and I'm crampy and bloated and feel disgusting" more than he appreciates going "What's wrong?" "Oh, nothing." like I'm some huge mystery to the man I love. And yes, my female friends are just as open. Maybe we're all chubby and ugly and just plain rude, but we don't care... we're comfortable in our bodies and we trust each-other enough to talk about those things. They're natural occurences. Makeup and hairspray are not natural occurences. Does this make us all ugly and disgusting and manly, because we burp and fart and don't care who knows about it?

...at least I can rip a big stinky one in front of my husband and all his friends, and if they even bother to pay attention at all, I don't have to feel ashamed of myself for being human.

Chris you are in for a lot of dissapointments in life unless you get a different attitude about women and people in general.

 

So why did you feel obligated to post this in a women's issues forum anyway?
An attitude change is definately in order anyhow.
But I would like to know who implemented the rules that us women are supposed to be following....be "polite" and "lady-like".......sorry to break it to you...I'm not sure if you already knew this or not.....but women have the same innards as men for the most part. So guess what? We fart. We burp. We laugh. We talk about sex. *GASP*
And who cares about what the girls look like? You seem to make that a very pridominant point in your post. While they were talking with their friends, they were probably not thinking about the guy near them listening in on their conversation. And they shouldn't have to worry about that. You should keep to yourself.
You say that you have this "opinionated nature," but what you shoudl realize is that other people do, too. And most people's opinions are "who cares what other people think." You have no right to judge them, just like you have no right to be judged by someone who knows nothing about you just by walking by you and overhearing your conversation.

and i can't believe that you expect girls to not fart, burp, laugh, or do normal everyday things. i would rather be myself and say what i'm thinking, giving my opinions on things than to shut up to not 'draw attention to myself'.

good luck getting a girlfriend if your expectations are that high. you might as well just buy a barbie doll...

I read your other irrate irrational thread about how the world is out to get you, in which you scream, bitch and moan about people calling you "kid" even though the fact that you are bitching and moaning about something so insignificant highlights the fact that you are still in fact a kid.

Its different that this thread, because here you scream, bitch and moan about women being loud, rude and socially inept while you are, of course, completely perfect and innocent of any wrong doing.

Courage is a strength. Women who can talk about that stuff have pride and confidence, they don't care what people think because they're doing what all humans do. Who cares? I burp and fart and have sex because I'm a human. It feels good to do those things. And sometimes there are worthwhile stories that I wanna tell people. I'm not chubby or ugly either!
Just because we're women doesn't mean we have to be restricted to do the things that men so openly do. Fuck that shit!

 

I want to write back an intelligent arguement, as my mind is bursting with things to say to you but I don't want to waste my time as I know it won't make a difference with you. However, I will say this:

We're hippies; we don't care about "manners" and "being proper," asshole!
Be happy our screwed up society is finally allowing people to be more open and natural. You seriously need a LOT of counselling and growing up because judging by your views, it sounds as if you've been locked away and isolated since the fifties.
People are getting more vulgar.
We're getting more disgusting.
More open.
We're caring less about manners and propriety, we go on unescorted dates with men (gasp!) and we fart.
Live with it or move to the woods.
