So, Glen Beck is off to Washington, D.C. today for a Martin Luther King style rally, on the 47th anniversary of his famous "I Have a Dream" speech. He will be standing just below the spot where King stood on that historical day. It's easy to see that MLK and GB are two peas from the same pod, right?

They're expecting 100,000 people there today, and I think this just might be Beck's last stab to keep his stumbling career from taking a big dump. But, trying to put himself in the shoes of Martin Luther King is going to be somewhat of a chore to accomplish. King was about bringing people together, Beck is about tearing them apart. King was about civil rights, Beck is about civil disorder.

I think this might fly with the Teabaggers who couldn't give a shit about civil rights or equality, but the rest of the nation, the sane ones, just might be offended by Beck's arrogance.

I can see this is going to go so well. With Palin speaking as well, they only now need to include Dr Laura and it shall be a hit.

The views that he holds could not be further from those held by MLK. That he states he will not stand in exactly the same spot and that he did not really know it was the anniversary of the speech, rather speaks volumes.

I used to watch his show when it was on MSNBC and when he presented his views in a logical, calm manner. But one fateful day he suddenly went crazy and starting spewing extreme ideas and for some reason went all FOX on everyone. Scary guy!

This latest stunt by Beck is similar to all those M&M commercials that try to eek out a little more reputation by associating themselves with famous movies and TV shows, such as The Wizard of Oz, The Addams Family, etc., even though the candy has nothing to do with those works.

According to rumors, Beck raped and murdered a kid back in 1990. He refuses to issue a formal denial though he has acknowledged the accusation.

The Million Man March was not about Louis Farikhan and last weeks Washington rally is not about Glen Beck.

It was funny to see news commentators stumble all over themselves about these political be-in's in Washington DC. Its all about the attendees who may be paying no attention to the speakers.

I have a different experience, I've had to really look for news reports about this rally, the mainstream media didn't give it the coverage that Beck had hoped for.

I hate how Beck shamelessly panders to the lower-than-average-IQ portion of the population with his flow charts....you can tell he knows who his audience is.

Glen Beck is disgusting like most of the entire Fox Network. The fact that most people are republicans is funny. Many of the "red necks" are such idiots and vote for republicans because they are filled with fear over 2nd amendment rights, and minority people taking over, or whatever the right is trying to point out to the world. The average American would vote differently if they paid attention to politics. I have friends that tell me the health care bill was a horrible idea.. I'm glad that it happened, I have type 1 diabetes and no insurance company will cover me. The right is for the grossly rich, the people who run everything from credit company's to the oil industry and in between. the only beef I have with democrats, is that they are Pu$$ys and won't fight back. Don't get me started on Palin. She is either the biggest idiot in the world, or a very smart con artist. I guess I'm pissed because I refuse to exploit the ignorance of a racist person, or maybe it's because I'm tired of hearing how horrible this president is... Regardless of what anyone says, he is thousand times better than Bush.
