or something to those lines.... so folks, what is your favorite beer? where does it come from? is it mainstream? microbrew? homebrew? recipes? why do you like it? describe the flavor... where can it be purchased? look, bottom line... lets talk about beer... i have a couple favs i will share as the thread moves on....
Brooklyn lagers are pretty fine with me I like lots of beers including rogue ales, stone ales like arrogant bastard, great lakes brewing company, full sail, anchor steam, guinness, sierra nevada pale ale, any pale ale, negro modelo...............................
yes guiness is a personal favorite of mine.... also Bass pale ale.......newcastle... Brooklyn....the list goes on. there is one beer of which I am very fond of to be expressed later,...
tecate... is my favorite from mexico. only cuz i used to drink it at the beach in cocoa beach florida all the time mexican beer has alot better to offer: dos equis(i have two ambers in the freezer chilling now) negro modelo, and some others but I have much love for my Tecate... in fact i have a sixer in the kitchen... oddly in bottles i've only ever had cans. corona is great with salt and lime........try the salt with the lime... heavenly mmmmmmmmm
true.... i love many canadian beers........La Fin Du Monde is a personal fav. but that is drinking like the hulk........its like 11% alc by vol. but molsen, labatts, and others are great beers........i love the sayings on the molsen bottles. isn't a case of bud like $50 in canada???????
i am not a huge fan of beer, but i like that it is cheap at happy hour, and it goes well with cigarettes. imported beer is too expensive to bother with, but coronas are definately nice so i like the cheap australian beers. tooheys new. or tooheys extra dry if i have the extra 50 cents. victoria bitter is next choice caus its also cheap hehe but the BEST tasting beer ive ever had was this amber ale stuff, which tasted like its got honey in it. and the best texture of any drink is guinness, unfortunately the taste aint so
thanks for the post... Dr. Bill the aren't too many australian beers here in the USA. except for Fosters which I have been told is not an actual aussie beer; but an aussie brew made independently elsewhere in the world... however I like both the original and the bitter. and as far as the cheap stuff goes you can often find me with a 40oz of OE, colt 45, Hurricane, or any number of others... hail to the practically free enjoyment.
yea i love most imported beers from mexico and i love dos equis also others i like from mexico: tecate, montejo, black rock, and brava non-mexican beers i like as well: lakeport honey lager, some malt liquor, sameul adams winter lager and boston ale, sameul adams triple block, and of course optimator spaten. there are some others but these were good enough to come in mind =)
When I drink I usually don't drink beer. But, I do like some kind. Corona and Yuengling are the only ones I've ever really had more than one of. They're pretty good. Usually when I drink I drink gin and coke, southern comfort and coke, or those flavored smirnoffs. Typical stuff that girls drink I guess. First I"ll start with glass of gin and coke, usually more gin to coke. After I drink 3/4 of that I'm already pretty buzzed. Then after I feel the buzz start dying I'll drink some so-co and coke, i like the so-co because it's smooth compared to the gin. That will get me buzzed again, and then if I still want to drink but not get completely wasted I'll just sip on the flavored smirnoffs, which are only like 5% alchohol.
Yeungling Black and Tan is the shit. Stones Arrogant Bastard is great, as is the Ruination IPA, and I love Rogues Red Ale, that is the best beer ever in my opinion, plus most of the stuff Rogues offers is top class.
yuengling Black & Tan is the shit.... as well as mississippi mud Black & Tan which comes in a cool jug.
let us speak of Magic Hat........god I want to go to Vermont soooo bad. That beer is the shit... at the brewery I hear of 1 gallon growler jugs of any and every flavor you can imagine for like $5. the no. 9 is available in some stores here in the city. and it is fantastic... not sure but this may be the favorite so far...
