So I got to thinking, God sends you to hell for sinning, right? and when you're there, you're tortured by satan because you sinned, right? and satan is like a lover of sin...right?

so just why on earth would he torture you for sinning if he himself loves sin and wants you to sin and tries to corrupt you so you do sin? if God wanted you to be punished for sinning, why doesn't he do it himself?

that pretty much leaves two answers... either God and Satan are the same person, or they are on the same side.

I asked my youth pastor(ess) this, and she couldnt answer...

    what do you think....
    ??????

Weel one way out is claiming that atan isn't a physical being, and then cannot torutre you or whatever, and look at "satan" as a representaion of the evil in humans. Another answer you might get is that "God doesnt send you to hell, but you choose to go to hell by not accepting Jesus"

also, i don't think [acording to much doctrine] that satan is not in charge of hell, and will be tortured after the second comming [i know there is a passage in revelations that speaks of this]

me, i don't understand the concept of a physical, earthbound satan, whos deception will lead to torture in hell. To me it seems like punishing someone who was the victim of fraud, and if God loves us regardless on earth, why does He not love us regardless in the afterlife as well?

i think you presented a dilly of a pickle chuck

As far as I see it if religion were real

"God" created us to play with us
He condemns us to hell for sinning

    Lucifer disagreed with God
Hell is where he shelters us sinners
Calling Lucifer by the name of "Satan" is mean

My take is that the first liar of the bible is "God" (yahweh) who tells Adam that he'll surely die if he eats from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. But Adam eats the fruit and doesn't die, but "god" (Yahweh) kicks Adam and Eve out of "Eden" instead. On the other hand, Satan tells Adam that god doesn't want Adam to know that he truly is the same as God ~ made in his image. Funnily enough, this is supported by the supposed Jesus who said "I tell ye, ye are all Gods" which supports Satan's version but not "god's" (yahweh's) version. Also, both Satan and Jesus are called "The Bright and Morning Star." Funny, that! Given that, Jesus and Satan could be one and the same, and "god" (yahweh) could well be satan (evil).

Yeah, it's hard to imagine a scenario like this:

Satan: Hahaha! You lived your human life as a horrible sinner, just as I wanted you to. You rejected God and followed me instead. Because you were such a loyal subject, I'm going to... strap you to this rock and attack you with a cheese shredder... er, wait, is that right?

You think he'd slap you on the back and hand you a cold beer or something, wouldn't you?

Anyways, in the Old Testament, Satan was an angel of God, not some opposing force to God. God often sent Satan to carry out acts of vengence or anger on God's part. Also, remember in Job that God and Satan have a nice little wager over Job's soul, and seem to get along pretty well...and Satan obeys God's commands.

Satan is the opposite of God. He is so evil that he will decieve just so he can torture. You may or may not believe in this, but occassionally I listen to tapes of demon pocessions. And a response that a demon gave to the question, "Why do you have such a hatred for Jesus?" and its response was "Because he takes our people away from us"

No.....there was no "transfer" from good to evil......God, was the creator, and for His own reasons...He chose evil to exist.

In regards to what? religion, morality? Or the fact that God made the concious decision to create a being that would ultimately disagree with him and spend eternity burning the majority of humanity in a firey hell?

God gave the devil freedom of choice and gave people freedom of choice. The devil chose to rebel against God and so do most people. God did not want us to automatically obey him. You have to understand His original purpose for mankind. God's purpose for mankind was to have a sincere love for Him. Someone that would choose on their own to believe in Him. Most choose not to love him as they choose their own way. We live in a world were it is "all about me... me, me, me." If the world understood what it was really about--it is all about Him.

God is/was suddenly ignorant of his plans, or why He created anything?......Free will means nothing against a God that would Flood practically the whole planet because human's used their free will and decided to turn away from him........He is the single orchestrator of the biggest act of genocide ever concieved......free will? Bollocks.

If God is the true creator, the shaper of humanity and it's position in His universe....then you must accept the fact that God created evil, and all it entails, with the full knowledge that the majority of humanity would suffer indeterminably.......only God has the power to cast a soul into hell, the Devil is impotent against our free will....we are impotent against God's power

The sooner you accept this.....the better a Christian you will become.

And you are wrong....it isn't all about "me me me" it's about "us us us" together, thinking as a whole, and thank goodness, people are slowly realising just what a lifetime of service to God actually means....and are turning away from it :)

I'd rather have held the oven doors open at Auschwitz........than serve a God that expects me to grub at his knee for eternity.......while burning those i hold dear for eternity......

A loving god would not have a place to send people where they get tortured for eternity. No such place would exist.

"The LORD works out everything for his own ends— even the wicked for a day of disaster. "
"In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps."
You do not know God, JesusDiedForU. I hope the day of judgement comes to you soon so you stop spreading lies about God.

Isaiah 45:7 "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. "

God is all powerful and serves us, not the other way around.

We desire to worship God, serving God is worshipping Him.
