to judge one man's faith, KNOW that you're begging the reality of the truths you hold to be true... they're not true, nor are mine... i dont believe them to be true.... but, the intention of the bible, as inescapable from interpretation as it is, doesn't always mean what we take it to mean. find your own meaning from it, dont simply listen to your minister. he'll talk to you about hell, and sin... FUCK that... live your lifeee, out of your eyesssss. if God is in your story, then he'll make himself apparent... he has to me, in ways that no story or book can describe... our story is our own, all i can say is dont chase expectation... live the now, and truth will be shown to you.

I think what Erise means here is that in Jesus' death, all of the old rituals and laws and commandments that people were supposed to fulfill became null when he proved the Law wrong, because the Law condemned an innocent man.

Hence, Jesus' new commandments were these:
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul and all your mind and love your neighbor just as you yourself would like to be loved."

On the cross, the law was silenced and put to death. So was Jesus...except that he lives on in the promise of the Resurrection.
