Sugar magnolia from early 71 is the best to listen to when tripping. For a short period of time jerry used a wah on the song. Pick up any shows at or before the april fillmore east runs and i think after january of that year they usually have the wah.

Yes truckin jams from early 70s are rockin, I don't care for the written part much, it's probably my least favorite song, but the jams are on point.

    Fatboy Slim
    The Beastie Boys
    The Crystal Method
    The Orb
O-Zone would probably be tight, I've only heard them really baked though, not fryin.
I listened to some Tower of Power one time while coming up, that was fun.

I don't know who wrote it, but there's a song that one of my buddies played for marimba where you play along to a recording of all these electronic beeps and buzzes and all other sorts of wierd sounds. It's fucked up as shit man, and when you're tirppin it's totally confusing. I didn't even know what it was until a few weeks ago when I asked.

sweet, i download tons of them, but I am sending this guy 400 blanks and starting to grab all the SBD's from 71 and 72, then when that is done if there was enough blanks I am going to start getting 68-70, when that is done 73 and 74. Then I will probably be satisfied; I don't listen to much after 77.

I used to have a bunch of shows but I've lost them. All I have left, which is the best of course, but it skips, is Boston Garden 5.?.77 Best version of Cassidy (my favorite song) I ever heard

Gratefuld Dead and tripping are just... well you know.

    But outside of that:
Sound Tribe Sector 9! Had one of their songs 'take me to the desert' as I reported mid peak :p
Radiohead has no one metioned radiohead yet?!? their music is a trip in itself, often times tripping to them gets TOO intense for me.

I've got lots more but get some STS9 and Radiohead you won't be sorry.

Gotta move beyond CD's my friend, get digitized. I've got 4.2 days worth of Dead at the moment, including Dicks Picks 1 - 22, never go without a new show to listen to :p

stig: if you can download torrents I'll hook you up with a good site. I've got dps 1-36, download series 1-6, the two boxed sets, the eleven disc version of the fillmore east 69 boxed set, just tons of shit mostly from a private members only site.

looks like rain is teh suck. if you want old great gd you listen to pigpen era stuff 71-72 is the widest repertoire and sickest songs but 68 has the reckless abandon sound of the psychedelic sixties. I can't listen to much af ter 77, even some 77 doesn't do it for me.

Anything by Boards of Canada makes for a great trip other than Geogaddi.
