    My favorites are:
Pink floyd - Piper at the gates of dawn
The Moody Blues - In search of the lost chord
The grateful dead - anthem of the sun
The string cheese incident - untying the not
    The beatles - Revolver
The jefferson airplane - after bathing at baxters

Just to get started. These are my standbys. There are a lot more out there that will eat your mind like pink floyds second album and so on...

I know Tool - Lateralus has been mentioned already. 10,000 days isn't too bad though either. Lipan Conjuring, Lost Keys, and Rosetta Stoned together is like a 15 minute long epic about an lsd or dmt trip... or maybe it's an alien abduction. I don't know, but that's the point. Then there's Right in Two and it's lead in Intension; if you're relaxed enough it'll trip you out sober.

    Give it a try.

grateful dead have already been mentioned. live/dead is good. or really any kind of grateful dead you have a taste for.

moe. - sticks&stones, the conch, dither.

    lotus - hammerstrike

perpetual groove - sweet oblivious antidote, all this everything

cage the elephant (self titled album)

    john butler trio - three

lol Progressive Trance, got to say I like that stuff a lot. I really like Vibrasphere, they are a tad bit more psy-chill though.

Screaming Headless Torsos...I don't think you would necessarily want to listen to this if you are looking for the stereotypical psychedelic experience. If you want to hear some funky progressive improv insanity natural to any chaotic mind....

And here's an old progressive deathcore goodie, tripping or not
