How creepy is this? Does it not bother anyone else to see the direction in which things are moving? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technolo...lian-surveillance-with-fluffier-branding.html There is so much I see in this world I don't like. It really bothers me. I find it increasingly hard to find peace with the world and with myself. I just don't like where things are going, and it bothers me that so many people just shrug everything that's happening off like it's no big deal. Rampant surveillance doesn't bother them, the police state doesn't bother them, drones over US cities don't bother them, the increasing loss of freedoms doesn't bother them, the declining standard of living doesn't bother them, the fact that so few people have any individuality whatsoever doesn't bother them.... No, football and shopping at the mall take precedence over all else to most people. I have no doubt that Americans, and probably many Westerners are going to see absolute tyranny unfold in their lifetimes. FUCK, look around, it's already begun. I really have a hard time making sense of this world and how apathetic so many people are to what is unfolding. People don't care, much less see what is happening. People just are not in tune with reality. But I guess I am just a conspiracy theorist and everything is really OK. All I need to do is suck down a Dunkin Donuts 'Coolata'.
I would never in a million years get those glasses. Google already has a horrible track record with privacy.
Just watch soon we'll all be hard wired into the net, barcoded and trackd. But it doesn't matter, as long as people can shop at WalMart and do Facebook nobody will care.
Yup. It's all just one step closer to the brain chip. Sounds crazy, but that is where things are headed.
There is nothing wrong with that. 1. No one forces you to wear them. 2. It is illegal for someone else to record you without your permission. 3. Glassess with cameras were already avaiable for a long time for those who need / want them.
Nobody said anyone forces you to wear them. The fact is anyone can record you without your knowing, and even if it was illegal to record someone, which I am pretty sure it isn't, it isn't going to stop someone from doing so. And in the hands of the government, which Google works closely with, this sort of technology is even more nefarious. Sorry to sound like a condescending dick, but wake the fuck up.
I see what you did there. I think these glasses will be a flash in the pan - more about what they can do than what people actually want. Beta Max springs to mind.
i just don't see why anyone would actually want to own that? like even for the most "sheeple" of people, what is the supposed benefit of this product?
Things to you faster, voice activation, gesture control I.e series of blinks, retina tracers all for making things available to us faster and faster. Instant video recording, instant information, always connected and sharing. So what if the government can locate your receiver and have direct feed surveillance when necessary? As long as your not doing anything violent...
Do you know those QR codes? http://www.q-mobile.tv/qrcoderedeem.html Instead of having to point a camera phone - you just look at them instead. http://www.saga.co.uk/saga-magazine/2012/february/qr-codes-google-goggles-aurasma.aspx http://www.qwiktag.com/index.php/blog/210-the-qr-code-generation-seen-through-google-goggles
Not here. Have you ever read any thing like this: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...or.r_qf.&fp=8504ce29b8523f6f&biw=1600&bih=839
If you keep having a utopia in your mind that you can't let go off you will never find peace. Acceptance of reality is a great step towards peace of mind. That being said, you probably do not want that kind of peace of mind. And if you are not that old that's a good thing. Having ideas and ideals means you are a living and thinking being. So having no peace of mind should give you some peace of mind exactly because of that.
