The Comebacks - I'm a big fan of spoofs such as Brooks, the Zuckers, and the Wayans, but I've fucking hated all the Scary Movie spin-offs (and 2) -- and I really don't get why one of the only good modern ones to get national attention bombed

Punch Drunk Love - Alot of ppl hate it bc it wasn't the Adam Sandler people are used to. I personally loved it, I dont like his normal roles.

Eyes Wide Shut - Seems to get a certain amount of hate.

I agree with this. I really like Paul Thomas Anderson (even though I didn't like Magnolia)

    I thought people liked this:

i don't know many people who have even seen it, to be honest. i know it was successful, but it seemed to have been forgotten about somewhat.

either way, it's a shame because it's a great film - it was as good as meet the parents without a doubt but that's the de niro comedy masterpiece allegedly.

Ah, well there's a channel it is always playing on over here (though they seem to play Analyze That more)
I definitely prefer Analyze This over Meet the Parents, and that's despite Billy Crystal's horrid voice

How about 'Manhunter' from 1986. It's based on Thomas Harris' "Red Dragon" which precedes "Silence of The Lambs". Brian Cox plays Hannibal Lector (or 'Lecktor' as they spell it in this movie) and William Petersen plays the lead character.

Definitely an 80s film, but in a good way (directed by Michael Mann of Miami Vice fame).

Did jack shit at the box office back in the day and even now, not a lot of people have seen it.

    Highly recommend.

Dune. I'm mystified why everyone hates this. Okay, it's not Star Wars, but it's incredibly detailed, mysterious and epic.

Star Trek V. I don't get it, it's hated but people like I, III and IV? Doesn't make sense.

Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi. Apparently people don't like this. Huh? What's so bad about it? I like it.

Twin Peaks - Fire Walk With Me. It's great, maybe even better than the series. No idea why a lot of people don't like it.

I think mostly because as literature the book was incredible, but the movie dragged on forever before anything of interest happened. Should have been made in the 1990's in my opinion, although I have never justified this belief, I feel it would be a much better movie. Apparently a reboot is being made, but lets be honest with ourselves and admit that it will probably be terrible and do everything wrong that it possibly can.

I can see it now. Dune 3D

I think "Lord of War" did not get the attention it deserved. Yes Yes, I know, everyone hates Nicholas Cage, and I am not saying he is much different in this movie. But I personally think it is a great movie that nobody seems to like.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's possibly the only movie based on a book which enriched a book instead of destroying it. The images of the guild, the planets and the imaginative way it was told wet some of the dryness of the book, which, in my opinion, was only an above average piece of science fiction. Another Dune movie is unnecessary
