Hey all.

I just had a thought: why don't we have a thread that tells new smokers everything they need to know? Like all the slang and knowledge of this forum compacted into one thread. =)





Share gereral advice, slang terms, buying advice, anything! Mainly, things you wish you had known when you started smoking.





I've been smoking for around a year. I wish I had known to just act cool and be chill.

Like, if you don't know what an eighth is, don't act like you know what it means (3.5 grams).

If you hear someone say "That weed is fucking sticky as hell," and you don't know that that is just another way of saying "That marijuana has an extremely high potency," don't act like you do.

Smokers like to tell other smokers about weed. When I ask my friend newbie questions like "What's the difference between a bong and a bubbler?" he gives me a very good, detailed, non-condescending answer. That I don't really remember anymore. I think I was high when he told me.

 

why are you givin ur friends questions and calling them newbie.. I find that to be pretty retarded

 

yeah and dont give the money and then get the weed with your first buy you should probably buy and recieve at the same time less chance of getting ripped off dont spened over 20 on your first buy either

I agree with you, Neon. I still feel bad about this one deal I did...I gave the guy $25 and he gave me an eighth...it had the most stems EVER... Oh well, live and learn.

 

actually an eighth refers to 1/8 of an ounce not 3.5 g's. just to clear up the smoke

i agree, if we all responded to this thing, then someone copied the info onto a thread and had it stickied it would definitely reduce the amount of repetative threads that people have been complaining about. definitely a good idea! heres my two cents:

1 pound = 454 grams ($lots)
1 ounce = 28 grams ($400)
1 "half" = 14 grams ($200)
1 "quarter" = 7 grams ($100)
1 "eighth" = 3.5 grams ($50)
1 gram = 1 gram! ($20)

measurements are approximate, and prices are "logical", not necessarily what it always will be (usually the more you buy, the bigger the "discount"). a gram is enough for 2-5 joints, or 4-8 bowl-packs, depending on the size of the joint/bowl.

The prices are acutally relative with the quality of the herb. Around here, eighths go for $20-25.

And really, I expect it to be a real eighth, not a .. "here's 5 joints worth, that's an eighth, right?" Fucking shady ass dealers. Buy a small digital scale.

 

my joints are usually packed with a gram of weed or more. ive gotten one to 1.8 before. but for pinners u dont need much, .5 can do it.

 

lol dont think so?? i know a few people that have to say "3.5 grams" or "one gram" insted of a dub or eigth because, well i dont know why but it all depends on the dealer.

this is my bros advise that ive never followed but i should, dont be high around parents , uncool friends, other kids parents, teachers, authoities and anyone who dosent know.

dont smoke in the house unless your #### is on lock (meaning you use a spoof you have vizine you spray ozium and eat altoids).

learn what weed smells like learn what it looks like charish it.

tag or axe are your best friends.

weed = duh

cone or bowl = pipe used to smoke with

sticky (icky), dank, peanutbudder and rank = good weed

muchies = you want to eat

blunt = a cigar casing with weed instaed of tobacco

joint, j, spliff and stick = weed rolled in smoking paper

bong = a pipe that uses water to filtter the smoke and cools it down and tends to et you higher

seeds and stems = seeds of marijuana and stems of buds and other parts of the plant

special brownies, cookies butter = a substance that has had marijuana put in it

and the number one rule DONT BRING WEED TO SCHOOL, EVER! I DONT CARE IF YOU KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT WEED AND HOW TO HIDE IT, DONT BRING WEED TO SCHOOL!!!!! JUST TAKE A QUICK LOOK THREW THE BUSTED FORUMS SEE HOW MANY PEOPLE GET BUSTED AT SCHOOL, THERE LIVES SUCK AFTER THAT. I CANT STRESS THIS ENOUGH DONT EVER BRING WEED TO SCHOOL ITS DANGEROUS!!!!!!!!

Always remember kids, no matter what anyone tells you, drinking the bong water will NOT get you higher. THC is not absorbed into the water. If it was, you wouldn't get high. And never under any circumstances blow into the bong, no matter how good of an idea it seems. It's never a good idea.

 

I've never heard of a cone being a glass pipe. I've always called cones the kind of joint that is in the shape of a cone, as in it's fatter at the top and tapers down to the roach, or where your lips go. Yeah, make sure you inhale all the way, not just in your mouth. Relax, try not to be ultra-paranoid. If you do smoke at home, don't be retarded, and do it when your parents are awake or something, and if you can, go outside away from the house to do it.

Yeah I thought so too. People need to know this shit. By the way, what county are you from? I'm not too sure where the potomac is. I'm from Harford county. I live in Forest Hill, if you know where that is. It's nice to see a fellow marylander here.

advice can really be givin on obvisious things, and buying.. but after that u basically learn everything by experience, cause with drugs u will find ur self in some of the mst f'd up situtations sometimes
