I'm sitting at my desk right now, just like I do every other day at work, pissing away time doing absolutely nothing. A short time ago I discovered an old greeting card/stationary/label making program I had installed installed a while back and, seeing as how I have nothing else to do (god forbid I actually get some work done), I started it up and had fun. Greeting cards were the easiest to make so I got to work on those first, and with a few occasions coming up it would help to have a few on hand. Now these are not your average greeting cards, you won't find these at CVS or Wallgreens any time soon. These are Max Power certified grade A 100% authentic greeting cards. Here is the fruit of my labor.

The first one is a standard, all-purpose Thank You card. Everybody sends Thank You cards (you have to keep those nagging relatives happy right?), but mine is a little different.

The next one is a Christmas-spirited card, although not in the traditional sense. This one is for those people who just have to get everything on their kids' lists and more, the ones who cut you off in the store to get that last toy, and the ones you see on TV stampeding into Toys R' Us on the news.

This next one is for new parents. Most new mothers and fathers are psyched and excited about the good times to come, but this card will help bring them back to realization that such is not the case.

Finally, we have the High School graduate's congratulatory card. Graduating is a big step, and this card is perfect for the occasion. Nothing gets a graduate's mind on track and ready for the future like a cold, hard smack from the hand of reality.

Jesus Christ, I have way too much free time at work.

If you buy stamps from a craft store with some cool colored ink it is REALLY easy to make your own greeting cards. Even after you get some cool colored paper and some interesting stamps is still cheaper than buying some stupid card for 2$ or 3$ that is exactly like the card someone else gave to your mom, dad, ect.

Yeah, I'd love to give one of those to my mom on Mother's day. She'd just love it.

And afterward, at least I wouldn't have to bother going all the way to my parent's house for Thanksgiving right?

Well, I liked them. They certainly are a lot more truthful than the usual greeting cards.
