Growlog: WBS -> Rez (Creeper)

I am using:

1. Wild Bird Seed
2. Creeper strain mushrooms - spore syringe
3. "Rez-Effect" casing with 1:1 vermiculite:colonized WBS

04/16/09 - 01:00 ... I just finished rinsing my WBS and put it into a pot to soak. Tomorrow I will PC and prepare my jars. Pictures will come in later steps.

04/16/09 - 15:00 ... Rinsed and simmered WBS, prepared jars. Unfortunately I can't PC today - the cooker won't fit on my fucking stove. I'll find someone to let me use their stove tomorrow hopefully. EDIT: I am gonna go buy an electric stove, tomorrow I will PC and smoke some doobies

04/17/09 - 14:30 ... Started pressure cooker on an electric burner I bought from Sears (fucking 30 bucks!) I'll be returning it tomorrow. Goin out tonight - will inocculate later tonight once the jars have cooled. EDIT: Forget that, my pressure cooker is taking FOREVER to build pressure. I'm gonna start this later tonight when I have more time. Looks like it'll be a pretty long night :S

Hardcore hiatus...lol this hotplate is small, takes forever to build enough heat...I got super stoned Friday and Saturday and forgot about cooking my jars. Might be Wednesday before I have enough time to do this...man I am so dysfunctional. 'til then, i suppose

04/21/09 - 17:30 ... Began pressure cooking
- 18:20 ... Gaining pressure just fine, it's taking a little while, though...still
- 19:22 ... STILL gaining pressure...ugh...almost at 10
- 19:30 ... At 10 PSI, gonna start counting down, still gaining pressure.
- 20:20 ... Had hit 15, was there for ~20 min, total PC time ~60 min. Cooled, innoc tonight? Maybe...Oh and there is barely ANY water in there...I'm never letting it go that close again. I'm thanking god nothing happened.

04/22/09 - 18:50 ... Just finished innocculation. Hopefully I'll have some myc growth and some pictures on the way for that.

04/25/09 ... Day 3 on incubation, no action in the jars. Here's a couple pics (013 and 014)

No offense, but a grow log without pics is almost useless. And don't try to PC your jars at someone else's house then transport them. That's asking for contams.

My suggestion: finish your grow and take pics along the way. Post them when you're done.

 

I'm gonna try. So busy with work and my little project. This is a pretty good forum though. Has an underground feel to it. I like it. Moves kinda slow sometimes so I loose interest. But now that I have someone who may need a little advise I should be around a little more.

First I was afraid the PC was too small, I get it and I'm freakin cause I can't fit it on my fucking stove!

I'm buying a hotplate and then returning it once I'm done...I'm so fuckin cheap...

 

Good luck with the grow man, sounds like you're off to a good start and have read some shit at least. Why not keep that plate for future use if you'll run into the exact same problem next time? just a thought, wish you some big flushes!

ive never seen a growlog... this is cool though, better once they start growing though if you take some pics. thats be sweet

 

Pics will come once it starts getting interesting. I'll take pictures after I PC and then once every couple days or so for mycelium growth.

I just finished.
I used polyfil + tyvek. Once I injected I covered with two coffee filters tied down with a rubber band.
