GTA San Andreas online!

This is a great mod for gta: san andreas which lets you play as cops or robbers with upt to 300 other people. Very easy to install and setup, one of the most fun multiplayer games I have seen in a while. You can rob banks, casinos, player owned businesses and peoples houses. You can also put money on other players heads. If your a cop you can be SWAT, FBI, Army or undercover CIA. You can also grow, harvest and sell cannabis which when smoked heals you. If you install the mod, the server you click on is called San Andreas Cops and Robbers.

I started playing when they made one for Vice City. It was extremely glitchy, but had a good thing started. The SA one is freakin BOSS though, and they seem to have figured out the lag problem (as long as you have high speed).

 

this looks pretty fun.,..does it save XP or have any sort of leveling incentive?

This Sa-MP is awesome. I like the stunt courses and race boards that people make up.

I really don't understand the whole concept of the actual "role playing". IDK if i'm just not doing it right or what, but the role playing ones never seem to be able for me to work them

 

chad amount of people on the server these days is about 100-200 which might sound like a lot but if you remember playing san andreas its a huge map
death- yes racing is a lot of fun im nice with the elegy and buffalo. I also don't like the role play servers I tried the most popular one ngr or something once because it had 500 people online but it was lame.
this is cops and robber so its mostly just a lot of car chases and killing. I dont play as a cop anymore I only really like to rob people and kill people and rob houses sometimes

and yes purp-elbows it save ur stats and money automatically .edit. yes theres levels too level 1 is important and level 4but after that its pointless

Oh man I never played GTA online, but I used to be a san andreas fucking master.

I used to love taking out choppers with the dual sawed-offs on infinite ammo.

 

I also like this game!

 

I think I saw servers up to 800 people back in a day.
RP can be extremely fun if you find proper server.

I just got a new computer and had a card installed in it called a 'GeForce GT520' from XFX.

I can't wait to try it out as soon as I can get everything set up (I'm still on my old dinosaur right now).

I love GTA, but I've never tried any on-line gaming before. I hope to try it out by this weekend.

 

jokerman my 3 year old laptop that cost 400 dollars can play it pretty well, even with its cheap built in video card

 

i ran it with 512 mb ram and a 512mb video card in some old e-machine celeron

 

I'm going to get this going this weekend. I assume I'll have to find a copy of the game first?

 

Yep, but numerous pirated versions work fine with it...if you want to go down that route

once you have gta SA, you need to download the "SA:MP" client, which is a 3rd party freeware thing.

ugh took me awhile to find a workable version of SA.. the one i had burnt to disc years ago didn't work for whatever reason..

i think the MP website says it doesnt work with steam's version of SA.. so dont download it that way
