It's a Bill Hick's quote, later used in Tool's Aenima album for the song "Third Eye". Awesome comedian and amazing band, might I add.
satan schmatin, all these names are something people make up to immagine the know something that no one ever can. =^^= .../\...
Dude...You're smarter than that. If you're a Satanist hit us with some intelligent debate. To do this to get a rise is weak. Just letting you know.
true but i don't actually worship/believe in satan, im just merrily bored and wanted to see if i could get any hatefull responses or something. For the sake of debate though i will say.... Satan is obviously more loving then God is. When God rejects you from heaven, who is willing to take you in? Satan is. Satan will take you in despite your wrong-doings proving him ultimatly more loving then God. i don't really believe in God or Satan or any of that, but thats the only debate i could think of for reasons to worship satan.
I believe the argumant would be that Satan knows he's going down, and he wants to hurt God by taking as many of his children down with him as possible. Sort of like the movie villain, shot and outnumbered, grabbing the female lead and jumping off a cliff. No real interest in the female lead, just sadism.
Your sig reminds me, I've gotta remember not to sign that petition that Flanders brought by my house earlier.
Here is a quote from a bible in which Satan is used to educate (discipline) someone: "When you are assembled in the name of our Lord Jesus and I am with you in spirit, and the power of our Lord Jesus is present, hand this man over to Satan, so that the sinful nature may be destroyed and his spirit saved on the day of the Lord." It appears Satan is used for good (according to the bible).
Once again, you can't have good without evil to contrast. Keep fighting Satan if you like, but he's as neccessary as Jesus to the system.
whose 12? but squirell is right. if you had never experianced evil, you wouldnt know anything other than good existed. therefore you wouldnt know good existed and i dont believe in jesus either so for me neither are nessesary to the system
the bible says that God and Satan are the same entity. In II Samuel 24 it says "And again the anger of the Lord was kindled against Isreal, and he moved David to say, Go, number Isreal and Judah" But in I Chronicles 21, a later telling of the same incident, it says "And Satan stood up against Isreal, and prevoked David to number Isreal." The only two conclusions you can come to are; A. the bible isn't the word of God. (or) B. If the bible actually is the word of God, then God and Satan must be the same guy. Anybody see a third option in here?
It could be articulated more brilliantly I'd say. It kills me though. Not that this guy is saying Satan is God. Or he is atheist. Or whatever. He's probably an intelligent young guy who chooses not to use said intelligence.
Some (most?) christians would have us beleive that the serpent of the craetion story in genisis is in actuallity none other than Satan himself. This, from a biblical standpoint, doesn't make sense because God is quoted in Genesis as having condemed the serpent to "slither on it's belly all of his days" yet in Job, which is supposed to take place sometime after the expellsion from Eden, we find Satan "going to and from in the earth and walking around in it".
Who says hell is bad? Yeah, the priests and moralist pole-up-the-assers say that, but they also say bars, brothels, and casinos are evil and bad. Shit, those places are fun as..., well, hell!
