I started loosing hair in 3rd grade lol. I have some up top still, But for the last year or so I just cut it myself. Cheap, Don't have to wait or have an appointment, Just a mess to clean if its cold outside. If warm, The garage and either a shop vac or the leaf blower. I keep it short, 1/4 or less, But wont shave it, Not into the chrome dome.
I get mine done for free. I cut hers. She cuts mine. Women are charged more because it usually takes longer to cut womens hair plus there is extra time with styling and usually more styling product used. I charge $35 for my womens cuts and $25 for my mens cuts.
Haven't Cut Mine For About 8 Years, After Years Of Buzzcuts I Decided To Let It Grow, Then After 3 1/2 Years Had Passed It Was Well Past Shoulder Length And A Continual Source Of Grief Every Morning To Patiently Comb Out The Matts, Then In A Flash Of Vision..:bulb:..I Realised What It Was Trying To Do Was Dread, So I Did Days Of Research On The Internet And Decided To Let It Do It's Own Thang, And Do It's Own Thang It Most Certainly Has.... Wouldn't Cut, I Think They Will Bury Me With Dreads.... Cheers Glen.
I've been cutting my own hair for like ten years. I've gotten pretty good at it, and it takes like 5 minutes. In the past every once in a while I'd get in the mood to cut my hair after a night of drinking, and I ended up with some pretty weird haircuts.
How Long Is It, I Had One Many Years Ago But I Copped Such Flack I Got Sick Of Getting Picked For Fights, And My Family Were Heaping Crap On Me For It So After About 8 Inches I Finally Gave In To All The Pressure And Cut.... Nowdays You See Them On All Ages, From A Toddler I Saw Yesterday, To Two Bikies I Saw Today.... Time Certainly Changes The Publics Perception Of Something.... Cheers Glen.
Every time I go to the hair dresser: Me: "I want something low maintenance: something I just need to brush. No blow drying, no hair products. I won't use them. Please don't use them on me, because I won't use them at home." Hairdresser: *Brain explodes* Then they always try and sell me expensive hair products. I've found maybe one stylist who doesn't do this. But I forgot who it was. It just annoys me that they make my hair look so nice in the chair, but then I know it will never look that way again! I don't even own a hair dryer . So to answer the question...I just like low maintenance haircuts. Sometimes, when it gets too long, I just chop it. Every year or so.
I used to keep my hair to my waist or thereabouts. When I turned 52, I began keeping it cut to about shoulder level, to mid-back. I need it cut now. I'm not judging other not-young ladies for long hair... but for me, after I got older, I find I want to keep it shorter. I have very thick straight hair, and you would think I was asking THE WORLD when I've tried to get a simple, blunt (which is straight) cut. WTH is so hard about that?!? My hairdresser cousin usually cuts my hair, but my brother-in-law likes to cut it when he visits once a year. He is from California...I NEED to get it cut soon, before they visit. The last 2 years he has cut it with the sides longer...I know y'all know what I'm talking about...its supposedly a popular cut. (He KNOWS I just want a Plain, Straight, Blunt cut!) I've had to cut it and fix it myself the last 2 years. I never say a word, but last year he quizzed me like the FBI about my 1200 hours in cosmetology school, and if I like cutting hair. I pay my cousin $20 for the cut and pay him nothing...he doesn't charge family (and I couldn't afford him anyway lol)
I go to the same person here. She understands my hair and knows the hair cut and she is excellent. I would have to follow her, if she ever moved, but she says she never will. I just got it cut shorter a couple of weeks ago again. It was getting too long. In about another month, it should be the length I like the best.
my neighbour cuts my hair. She also shows me how to make my food into actual tasty things. And walks my dog sometimes. IF it weren't fer her, I'd be a nervous wreck.
i like this style but dont have enough on top to pull it off now i just go for the general spring and fall clippers...i tell them to use 3/4 on whats left up top and blend down to 1/4 (i do my face with 1/4 before going )..its like 10 bucks but i always tip 5 extra...soon ill be cheap and old and either wont care or ill just do it myself https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzGPZRggtYk"]Pompadour Retro 30's 40's Style With Hard Part - YouTube
Do you get your hair cut done by your partner / other friend or a hairstylist ? Hairstylist/Hairdresser Do you prefer your hair length short / medium / long ? Short/crewcut How much does it cost to get yours cut $14 Why do woman usually get charged a lot more for haircuts than guys do ? They generally get more done to it.
I've been getting my hair cut from a guy from Ukraine that owns a barber shop down the road from me for a couple of years now. He's the best barber in the world. He has two other people working there, and I've let them take a whack at my hair once each. Thumbs down. I'll just sit there in the parking lot and time my entrance so I can get into his chair, lol
Yes It Would, But If They Really Suck, I Consider It Your Duty To Inform Them Of This Fact.... Cheers Glen.
