    Books? Movies?

For some reason the first one that came to my mind was "a scanner darkly"
But that was inspired by methamphetamine. Still really good tho.

I have only seen the 2006 movie "a scanner darkly" but it is based in a 1977 novel of the same name. It's a really good movie so I assume the book is great. The author (Philip k. Dick) originally wrote the whole story in less than 2 weeks. But then spent a couple years rewriting it.

One flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is inspired by Hallucinogens, however they don't play a role in the story.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson is somewhat fiction oriented, although based on true events.
