So after months of procrastination, I decided to finally replace my old worn-out ball mouse with an optical mouse. And whaddayaknow, the damn thing won't read the surface of my mouse pad (actually just an old piece of plastic sad excuse for a mousepad that came with a game system we had when I was a kid), nor will it read the surface of the desk very well. What a bummer. I feel like I totally wasted my money. Argh. It reads on styrofoam and cloth, though, lol. I guess I just need a new, real mousepad.
my optical mouse will read on anything..... even the palm of my hand or my left ass cheek. but oddly not the right one
Mine reads nicenice on cardboard. I use the back of a pad of paper, good stuff. It reads on my desk just fine, but it wears it down which I don't wanna have it do.
mine's cordless too, so I can take it across the room and use it, even though I can't see the screen when I do
yeah.... I think I paid 120 for my optical mouse and keyboard set.... both cordless. of course they are logitech, so that makes a difference too. and I also bought the most expensive one I could find since that usually means its better
I was partially considering getting a cordless keyboard and mouse set, the cheaper Logitech one, but I have a problem with hoarding money and I also am afraid I'd lose them if they weren't attached to the computer via a wire. Haha.
I've had mine for over 2 years now, and I still haven't lost them. which was an issue I thought about when I bought them, cuz I actually have lost 2 or 3 corded keyboards over the years
Hmmm...I see your point. But I'd still be afraid of losing my mouse. The world behind my desk is a frightening alternate universe that enjoys stealing things from my desk.
meh, my mouse was like $25 (Canadian) and it has back and forth browser buttons as well as the scrolling wheel, woohoo
I can't use a mouse that doesn't have those features anymore...... Its like trying to use an Apple IIe to access the net
