harshing my mellow

    when something pushes you so far over the edge you lose you temper and fall into a pit of screaming yelling insanity how to you fix your mellow? any ideas for a lonley girl?

    Sounds like you didn't have a real mellow to begin with if you're involved in screaming insanity...

    Work on your mellow a little more. When you're really at peace with yourself your temper should be harder to lose. Of course it's only human to lose it once in a while..but even then you can regain control before you go into a screaming fit or say something you'll regret.

    I was doing so good...
    it was one of those i tryed to walk away from the situation and they wouldnt let me kind of things.

    meh everyones different when it comes to how quick they are to anger.. and everyones tolerance to anger is different too.. its unhealthy to hold it in when you get pushed over the edge like that.. and its only a problem if you notice yourself getting "pushed over the edge" into fits of screaming insanity often... and in that case there could be alot of reasons why your so stressed out.. do you find that happening to yourself often?? if not then i wouldnt really worry about trying to be more "mellow" just be yourself.. that mellow hippie crap is hippie crap.. and even if you are kind of a hippie yourself i wouldnt buy into that crap... if you gotta scream let it out man.. its only unhealthy if you find yourself freaking out like that all the time(or often enough you know what i mean) like i said.. do you??

    and yeah well if they wouldnt let you, fuck them, they deserved to be screamed at insanely, when someones trying to walk away people should always let them.. although i assume who ever he/she/they are, were also kinda over the edge angry if they really didnt wanna let you walk away...

    Soften up the mellow but it becomes concrete.

    Then we have to walk all over it.

    Then it'll be nonreusable.

    You'll be pissed off for lifetimes to come.

    Think about marshmallows.

    Oh, and sing "I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts"

    When you're in a bad mood. Trust me.

    I used to have an awful temper...
    like really awful. and i haddent snapped in a long time. I was being so chill, and not losing over nothing. and then bam this person wouldnt let me just walk away and chill out. They followed me and kept pestering me to talk to them about the problem
    and i lost it again.

    and it had been months since i had totally freaked out like that.

    Why? People take aspirin if they have a headache. Pot is an herb. It just has special qualities. Now, if pot were in pill form for massive migranes, I'm sure you would oblige. :)

    Dear Imaginepeace,

    I wouldn't stress the fact that you lost your temper. I know it hurts me when I lose it after being completely chill. Anger is something that we all have to deal with. And everyone loses their cool at one time or another. Next time that person pesters you after asking them to leave you alone, shut them out from your thoughts and say nothing. Most often, those type of people are looking to get a reaction out of you and when all you offer them is silence, they end up looking like real jerks.

    Oh and, weed does come in pill form. I believe it's called Merinol (sp?).

    Anyway, hope things work out for you :]

    It has quite the same effect. The only significant difference was that it took about 45 minutes to kick in. And you know, it's a lot more expensive to buy the pills than to buy the weed. The only time I would ever opt to buy Marinol over marijuana would be if I wanted to get completely stoned in a much more secretive way.

    Actually, there's nothing wrong with not letting your anger out in a negative way. Especially when you adopt productive and positive means of cooling down. Pot, meditation, art, exercise, counting...whatever. Just because you don't explode when you feel like it doesn't mean it's unhealthy.

    What's unhealthy is to let your anger get the better of you, and to explode at people whenever you feel the urge. That's what wife beaters are made of.

    Negativity is bad, whether you feel that way or not. Just because you feel like kicking a cat doesn't mean it's okay to kick the cat. Just because you feel like blowing your lid at somebody doesn't mean it's okay to do so. Not saying I've never lost it, because I have...but it's not healthy.

    What's healthy is to recognize that you're feeling angry, find something positive to do to rid yourself of that anger, and move the hell on. Don't be hard on yourself though...life is one big learning experience. :)
