anyone hear of Harvest Fest goin on at Harmony Park in minnesota? sept. 8-10, should be beautiful... mostly midwest regional bands but very heady, put on by a band called WookieFoot. i expect there to be some cool visual/performing arts goin on as well as kick ass music. "A transcosmic tribadelic space carnival" says the poster... hope to see some of you there

How's this fest fare when compared to 10klf's laxed fun? I am thinking about going, but don't want it to be as tight as summerfest's was in IL. This one looks uber-heady though!

its a totally different experience dude... check out www.wookiefoot.com and get to the harvest fest site and check out the photos.. they may also be on the main website.... but yea.. its like no other... they hire like 300 people from fairies to jugglers.. to fire dancers... its amazing.. and this year... 3D Black Light Show.. 3D glasses and all... i'm really interested in seeing that... and what do you mean by "tight".. because if you mean security and such.. HA... it dont get looser...

dude... seriously... its one of the most blissful... mystic feeling places you'll ever go... when you visit.. trust me.. it would be worth the $20... and anywho... for the festival.. camping is included

This is by far my favourite festival I have ever been to. Been going for 5 years.
Coming all the way from Chicago for it again.
    I recommend.

    WELCOME TO HARVESTFEST
Welcome festivillans and festivangels to another Bliss Junky weekend at Harmony Park. This is the most magical fairy forest in all the land !! The Harmony playground is on a lake with giant oak elders providing shade and shelter for the whole campground. It is surrounded by farmland hence the name "Harvest", which has been a tradition for years. This sacred site has been a place for the live music community to gather and befriend one another around campfires and under majestic stars. Harvest Festival for many of us is our last summer shindig and we come to play with our festifamily one last time before winter..... come play with us !!

The size of Harvest Fest allows for individuals to share their magic and make a big impact on the whole.... It was here that Wookiefoot got its first oppurtunity to "Make Believe" with the crowd. The overwhelming joy created sparked a Nationwide tour bringing Fairys, Fire, Drumming, and Prankstering to festivals all over. The response has been amazing... but we have always felt that sooo much more could be done !!!.... Hence the merging of Harvest Fest and Wookie Fest. With the keys to the gate we can now pull off anything and everything imaginable. Last year we had 300 performers.... from Fire rituals, Free healing arts center, Sheet dancing, Native American traditional drumming and chanting, A marching band, Alice in wonderland tea party, Parades, Spiral dancing, Labrinth work shop, 3D black light painting station .....and ...on...and....on. We are asking you to bring your magic and share your gifts with the family !! The vision of everyone bringing something of personal meaning and value to give to a brother from another mother or a sister from another mister is HIGH HIGH !! What's your gift ?!??!?...Drumming, singing, food, message, bubbles, hugs, stones, crystals, jokes, dance, jewelry, fairy wings, stickers, costumes.... whatchu got ?!?!</B>

Harmony a real peaceful connected home vibe, where-in we draw each others love energy out and the entire scene bursts with hugs and smiles. In maintaining this vibe we invite artists with positive energy who are mostly from nearby towns and states. This way we keep it more local and get to bond with our neighboring festifamilys.

    WELCOME HOME !

yea.. if you dont leave Harvest Fest a changed person in one way or another... you just didnt take it all in thats for sure... every HF is a life changing experience... only thing thats tough about HF is there is so much going on at once that its tough to catch all the music.. i only saw like 4 full sets.. Wookiefoot.. Almighty Senators.. Big Wu and Northwoods Band... the rest i just caught bits of.. great weekend overall... had tons of fun.. ran into alot of old faces and whatnot.. and caught a nasty cold.. but oh well... Harvest Fest 2007!!! I'm waiting patiently
