have you ever met a hipforumer?

Just wondering who has met up with someone from the forums? It doesn't count if you knew them before the forums or for some other reason.

If yes, how was it? What'd you do? What prompted you to do it in the first place?

If no, what do you think about the idea?

Just a few weeks ago, I met up with mephist00. We both live in Rochester. He came over to my apartment, brought some good nugs and we smoked my bong and just talked - about drugs (who would have guessed), science...some other stuff.
It was really cool. We were both a little sketched out about meeting someone from the internet, and our girlfriends thought we were gonna get killed or robbed or something. But it turned out to be fun.

I've always wanted to meet someone from hipforums, and I'm glad I got the chance.

Yeah, I'm kind of the same way b/c I moved back to where I was living before college and now all my friends are gone so I really don't have anyone to hang w/ (and work takes up time too) and so I like coming on this forum & posting shit and chatting w/ people, but yeah, I'm not against it, but I'm sketchy about it. Not just if it was a cop, but if the person was a weirdo or whatever. But I would do it if I knew someone lived in my area & wasn't a weirdo (pref. a girl, haha).

 

I would be more than happy to hang out with someone from Hip. I think it is a great idea. However most of the people that I know that are near here are a little to young. Not that it is a bad thing but I can just see getting busted somehow for smoking with someone underage and then it would be all over the papers. In otherwords a hot mess. There are tons of people here I would like to meet in person. Again being someone who is a little older than the average hipforums poster. I just need to make sure the weird factor is not there.

However, if someone was of legal age then I would not have to take responsibility for their actions. So yes, anyone who lives in the Chicagoland area that I know from here is welcome to contact me about just hanging out. That also goes for anyone who is passing through. I always like to meet new people. Again I would only be willing if it was someone from here that I know. Besides I did the whole Match.com thing. It was great for meeting women, that's how my girlfriend and I met. We now have a house together and I expect us to be getting married as soon as I can afford the ring.

 

Yeah theres a select few on here that I would love to hang out with and talk to in real life. But as of now, I have not met anyone that I know of. But how crazy would it be if say one of your co-workers was a hip forums member and you both had absolutely no idea, that would be nutty.

 

As Startreken said, I'm older (I don't know how old you are though). I'm 24 but I know there's people here that are like 16, and yeah, I'm not getting busted smoking w/ a minor. But yeah, I live like 40 mins south of Cleveland and I wouldn't care to hang with someone from here that lived by or just happened to be in the area for whatever reason.

 

I am 24 as well, but theres def some of age people in here that would be super chill to meet in person.

yea, that would be funny. i've thought about that before.

i was worried that it would be weird or awkward...or that he might be gay. HAHAHA, i asked him on aim to make sure. that was pretty much the only awkward thing about it. we seemed to have a lot in common, liked the same things, so conversation just flowed.

 

I think you are right it would be weird if someone was in my same office. Then again I am very open about my weed usage. There are people here at work that also smoke or at least they used to but I have never suggested that we toke it up either. Then again I don't normally hang out with people I work with at least not here. Not that I don't like everyone it's just that we work a lot of hours and we see each other enough. Maybe if we all had drinks one night. I don't know. At this point I only know about 4 people in driving distance of me from hip. Most are underage or I don't know them that well from the forums enough to suggest that we get together and smoke. I can think of at least 10 people I would like to smoke with but they are mostly either West of here or East of here.

 

i didn't know the member i met. he doesn't post that much, and not in the forums i do.

guess it just luckily worked out.

 

Next year when I turn 18 we can certainly burn together as your fears are certainly reasonable.

 

Also I knew 2 people on here before we were ever forum members. We smoke together weekly if we can.

That sounds great, I have actually never smoked weed out of a hookah as I never had a significant amount when there was a hookah around so it was always more economical to smoke bowls. I will also bring my chron, and of course my new bong once I can purchase it

I've met two, but it was in dream world so I doubt that counts
