sort of.. Ive used opiates many a times .. and then take wide breaks and use for little casual pain relief .. Oxy/ heroin .. same thing.. lulz..
I've seen a few people occasionally use heroin and never get addicted. Of course, they only used it three or four times, and they thought it was awesome, but they still stopped using it.
I've had many strong opioid binges that I had no problem walking away from and not seeing another opiates for months/years. Being an opiate addict is hard work.
When I was much younger I tried it a couple times. Though the high was "interesting" it never grabbed me; and I knew how addictive it was. I won't conclude that sentence with "... so I stopped using it" because I never planned on "getting into it". But I wanted to see what some of my friends liked so much about that they *were* willing to use it regularly. I'm just saying I tried it a couple times and did not get addicted nor tempted to continue "experimenting" with it.
I have a passing interest in trying heroin. I would inject it if I did it as well, that seems to be the most efficient ROA although the impurities sketch me out a bit. I've done oxycontin once before and eh it's ok, I was really messed up but opiates don't really seem like my type of drugs to get high on. I've ,known a few people to use heroin a few times,, mainly snorting, none developed a serious habit that I'm aware of.
I read something on NationalGeographic.com which stated that 1/4 of people who try heroin eventually become addicted. Personally, all the people i know that use heroin currently are using recreationally, but i soon see it turning into an addiction. hehehe, I'm dense. Trainspotting, Requiem for a Dream, real life friend's life gone awry....but i still dont learn.
whatever you decide to do PLEASE be careful, I've seen people spiral out of control with it, while I've seen a few friends do it 3 times but spaced out and then never touch it again. BUT I've also lost 2 good friends to the little devil that smack is. be careful, be smart man and don't get into the mindset that it "can't happen to you"
