having a trip reports section?

Is there anyone here that's in good with the moderator and can propose a separate trip reports section to him? (I believe it's a him) Does anyone else think this is a good idea?

I tend to have a hard time following some of the individual trip reports posted on this site and some people post them in the middle of random threads. I know this could've been posted in that support section or something but I thought more would respond to it here and it's geared towards these threads.

Hmmm... "Comprehensive trip report thread" only trip reports. Just write your trip reports and make sure to have some format for summary for easy finding information maybe?

No I'm talking about on the Sub-Forums section like how there is LSD, MDMA, Cacti Delecti, Psychedelic spotlight (which no one ever uses), Synthetic Drugs. Or like shermin suggested maybe a sticky trip reports thread at least.

Yah that's a good format, it doesn't even need to be all professional like erowid or BL. For sure substance and Dose should be mentioned but just something that's a bit easier to sift through than finding trip reports in random threads.

I also think the potential of a trip reports thread can be better than those other two sites with some of the capabilities hipforums has. I mean erowid you basically need to get your reports reviewed and can take forever to go through if it does at all, and Bl can be kind of weird as well.

 

I would love a general Trip Reports section! all psychadelics included would be even better than just synthetics imo. RC's are fun don't get me wrong but I love high doses of common psychs as well.

An excellent idea. I've been experimenting a lot recently with a number of different RC's. It'd be good to have somewhere specific to post my experiences rather than creating my own thread.

 

it'd probably be best to make threads for the trip reports, then provide a link to the threads in an index page...that way comments on the reports will stay organized.

I did post a link to this thread to one of the Admin who might be able help if he likes the idea.

I think it's always good to add sections that will be used..other than that I really have no idea what a trip report is lol..I never read those

 

its amateur journalism at its finest. Essentially we ingest a psychedelic drug and then all become 1/3 tim Leary, 1/3 hunter s. Thompson, 1/3 doctor in white lab coat.

If any of you are supporters you can also create your own personal forum, it has been done in the past that it is then tagged to a main forum. It is another option. So you could call it what you like and then ask that it be an add on to these forums.

Good luck on getting one up and running as it would probably be easier as stated by most of you to find.

 

Everyone always has some idea or another, which leaves me with a tendency to yawn at most of them. However, I actually like this idea.

There are a few other title tweaks I'd like to make to sub-forums under pysch's as well.

I'll send a pm to Skip and we'll hope for the best.

There are often reasons why ideas from the bottom of the totem pole don't fly at the top. Those reasons aren't always clear or even voiced to those of us chillin down below. Or maybe I've just OD'd on corporate culture these last few years. F'ing work. Regardless, I'm hoping that this effort is met with a trip report sub-forum. Good luck to us.

My thoughts on additional sub-forum rename / repurpose under Psychedelics:

I'd like to see these four sub-forums combined:

Psychedelic Group Messages
Psychedelic Articles
Psychedelic Spotlight
The Psychedelic Experience

That would leave us with 3 new available sub-forums:

1. Trip Reports
2. DXM / Inhalants
-I would love to get all of the future DXM posts out of the Pharmies forum. And I'm not happy with the 'other' sub-forum as their destination; that's where they were when I became a Mod. I liked that less.
3. Coke / Meth
-Often times the 'other' sub-forum feels like it's all coke. Given the popularity of the two drugs and the fact that the Psychedelics section is in effect the drug section, I vote for Coke and Meth.

Before I send our request to Skip, what are your thoughts?
