Caffeine. Because that's usually why I have a headache, I'm addicted to caffeine and have bad withdrawals sometimes.
Excedrin, sleep, and pot. I usually turn the lights off and get rid of any noise. Also, I stop thinking. I don't know why, but I have the ability to think of absolutely nothing if I have to.
Excedrin. (has caffeine in it too actually.) Unless it's a migraine. Then I prefer opiates. I don't deal with that.
I actually LOVE Excedrin, but I have to be really careful with OTC meds now because I gave myself an ulcer when I had that rotten tooth for those 6 weeks. I took WAAAAY too much. So now I try as many alternative pain relievers as I can think of.
Excedrin It has three pain relievers in it, aspirin, acetaminophen (Tylenol) and caffeine. Seems to work best for my headaches.
I take advil for a regular headache. The night before last I had a horrible migraine so I took one of my dad's pain pills and a muscle relaxer to knock my ass out. I felt like shit the next day, but my migraine was gone.
I get headaches quite a bit...sinus headaches specifically. Usually I up the caffeine (I'm a caffeine addict I must confess) and take some ibuprofen if I just can't handle it on my own. On some days, I feel as though I'm popping ibuprofen like it's candy, sometimes I feel as though I've just purchased a bottle of it only to find it empty yet again. And some days I get headaches so bad that I actually vomit due to the intensity. Ooops, sorry if TMI on that little tidbit! I've dealt with chronic headaches and migranes since I was probably 10 years old or so. Thankfully I don't get the migranes as much as I used to (funny, I had them more often before I had my children!), but part of me really wonders if I have some type of food allergies or something of that type which could be the culprit causing my frequent headaches. I've had many tests done over the past 20 years (oh geez, did I just say 20 freaking years?!) and nothing has ever showed up, so I believe it's either just a natural thing for me or it's allergy related.
I used to get sinus headaches and migraines all the time. Then at the age of 30 I discovered I was allergic to tomato. I quit eating tomato and haven't had a bad sinus headache or migraine since. I hope you find what's causing it. I really really miss eating pizza.
That's what I'm worried about, that I'll find out I'm allergic to one of my favorite foods! But at least I would know what was causing the headaches. I had a pretty bad one this morning that just came on all of a sudden, really intense. Thankfully it didn't last long!
you'd be better off trying to find out what is the cause of it instead of loading up on pills every time you get a headache
