Why Does it Cost more than Foods Termend as 'Junk' Food?

I Would Rather Eat more Healthy Food...As I Enjoy them more...

    But Prices...Seem High...

    And Unconvenient...

not saying price and convieniece don't play a part, but a lot of kids dont' grow up eating right to begin with. even at schools its bad. and then when they get home, its worse. it sets up a never ending cycle.

lots of people don't know what healthy eating is...many view it as a diet, but its a lifestyle.

I am not meaning to offend anyone but this is just from my past experiences...any food is expensive if you eat too much of it. People really eat way more than they need. As for ideas; splitting meals at resturaunts (if I go with a girlfriend we always just order one thing to share), farmers markets and trader joes has really cheap and preservative free snacks and gmo free yogurt. I hate spending money on food...I would rather starve and buy shoes lol

It's all a conspiracy to keep people lazy and overweight. Gives the diet industry big bucks from all of the yo-yo dieters as well as the pharmacutical companies who have joined force offering prescription diet aides that cost out the wazoo, not to mention all of the medical complications that can arise from obesity, which pads the insurance companies and medical industry's pockets.

So there you have it. :p

well, the crap that goes into junk food is mass produced and cheaper. fresh foods are more expensive because, well, they're clean. they're fresh. they're not all refined flour and sugar, they're not modified and bulletproof. so you not only have to keep buring to keep fresh food in the house (like ever couple of days) but you also have to pay more for a lesser produced and more perishable product. but it's worth the money. you feel better.

There really are a lot of healthy "ready-made" foods out there. Many tend to cost more, however, you can save a lot of money by making up some of these convenience foods at home yourself. I rarely buy already prepared foods. I make nearly everything around here from scratch. Much healthier, and I know exactly what's going into it.

Although I realize that many people might not care to fuss in the kitchen for hours at a time, for me, it's relaxing. Sometimes you have to pay a little more for the good stuff, but your body will thank you for it. :)
