Do you belive in the afterlife? in Heaven?

Do you belive in Utopia or Paradise right here on planet Earth if we can just get things right.

The two are not mutually exclusive. Or you could belive in neither.

I belive in the first option: The Afterlife.

The option I don't know is missing. If paradise on earth is possible it certainly won't last forever.

I'm not being pessimistic at all. It's good to strive for a paradise on earth, and the world could be made better for everyone. Things won't last in this universe though, so paradise on earth would neither.

I'm sure there's a paradise in the afterlife, but I believe with concentration, enlightenment, and inner strength, it can be achieved here on earth as well.

*Edit: I also believe that drugs CAN propel one to the paradise-on-earth state of mind.

Heaven is inside Walmart, right next to the changing booth next to the kiddie clothes isle.

absolutely believe in paradise on earth thats the only one we can absolutly be sure of and be sure ourt efforts towards reaching it wont be in vain. the afterlife version is at best a guess, therefire any effort put forward towards reaching that afterlife should always be treated as basicaly a huge waste of time that has a slight chance of actualy accomplishing something,..this is why i believe every religion is wrong that stresses sitting around preying for some thing that probly will never exist while totaly ignoring the things that can be done daily to make hweaven on earth reality.

hell if more people realizxzed this was all we had anrd there was no afterlife wouklnt they do everything they could to make this reality as perfect as possible?

instead what do we got? wars over whos gods got the biggests balls.. hows that lead to paradise?
hate to say it but,m any creator that gave birth to s a universe wouldnt have balls at all..lol
silly religions and all theyre unbelievable nonsence..

I think that Earth is hell.
Whatever is next after this life HAS TO be better.

Earth is wat humanity makes of it. So it could be hell. Despite all sorrow and heartache this hell seems to be full of pure happiness though. I don't believe in a biblical hell, you do, Dollydagger?

Earth seems like a pretty fine place to be compared to rotting in some coffin...

no, not a biblical hell with fire and brimstone and the devil with a pitchfork...

I probably should have explained myself a little better up there.....I dont have that m uch time right now......gotta go to class soon, but I will come back and clairify

but has anyone ever read "Paradise Lost" or "Dr. Faustus"? This is mostly where my statement comes from

Haha, yeah. Haven't read those books, but I've heard of them. But what exactly would be paradise, and what would it be on earth?
