you need to find out what species of mushrooms grow in your area then seek out those habitats locally. i doubt anyone on here will share their "spot" with you so try to find your own.

Read Om's post again.. As in find your OWN spots .. ;) peeps dont usualy give out personal sites regarding shroom etc .. especially to a random on a forum.

I live around somthing like 160 odd miles way from norfolf and i travel there to fish for carp for 48 hours at a time, and ive managed to find shrooms in that time ..

Its high season right now, so get out and search .. before it ends. Get a book if your not sure what your looking for ..

In this country your looking for Liberty caps, generally they grow in abundance, and have been out for the last 3 weeks + ( Fields, hills etc .. )ares that walkers / hikers use, check surrounding fields to walkways .. you find a handfull of libs, theres likely to be more around.

If you fail to find some in the spot your on about, dont give up walk a couple of miles in differant areas .. Then " When " you do find some you will know why everyone else says " find your own " as im sure you wont want to give your own sites out in the end, to very tom - dick and harry ..

Happy huntin, and stay safe, if you cant be sure of indentification dont consume .. ;)

Also an unwritten rule :- Flick the cap before you pick it ( To hlp leave some spores behind, and dont pull the full stem out, break it near the bottom as not to damage the mycelium network under ground, thus aiding next years fruiting in turn ..

    GOOGLE

    research it

    read

Definatly learn what the hell your doing before you go out picking or you may very well end up DEAD!

You should always go with someone experienced in local varieties or you may end up DEAD!

Why is it in the "information age" you even have to ask such questions?
The truth is out there, sometimes you just have to do a little research.

Be careful picking on your own ! Make sure you can correctly classify the mushrooms your picked. Where I live, we have LOTS of deadly mushrooms growing.

I wish I could eat some right now =[
lucky, make sure you classify them first just to double check you've picked the right ones. If I could pick them here naturally, OMG, I'd trip much more often =].
