Hi Everyone, I am an asian american living in the U.S. I want to know (from those who live in Asia) the following in regards to Chinese New Years customs in Asia... 1. If an american company wants to give its asian clients something for chinese new years....do u think the asian client would prefer american food (like chocolate, candy, coffee, etc) or would they prefer the typical asian chinese new years gifts (moon cakes, tea, sugar fruits, etc). And if we give american food, would that come off as being 'rude' b/c it does not follow the customs? 2. Is there alot of American companies giving gifts to asian companies for chinese new years? If so, what do they typically give? 3. Particularily in big cities like Hong Kong, Singapore, etc...what is the mentality there in regards to chinese new years gifts - it quantity or quality better? Or does it not matter? Any advice or input you have would be greatly appreciated!!
