Ok I am trying to get this police job and I literally smoked 3 months ago once for the first time in 5 years! Two or three hits in total and I have to get a hair test exactly 3 months later, no joke. Dec 15 I smoked sept 15. My hair is relatively short so I am not sure anyone have experience with this? Think Ill be ok?
you'll most likely be fine. just get a short hair cut, and give your pubes a fine trim (the women like it, so that's a win-win situation). why would you want to have a police job if you smoke weed? mildly hypocritical?
Your only option in absolutely not failing this test would be to completely shave your body, since hair tests work for years back, in which case it'll be pretty suspicious when the tester can't get a sample.... there are some shampoo products on the market but there is very little chance in any of them working. You could research them and purchase your best bet, but again, little chance. Good luck.

However, apparently there is a good chance that they will only do the test with an accuracy 90 days; depends on the company the police department is using.
What in GODS name do you want to be a police officer for!!!!!!!!??????????????? I don't mean to be mean, but doesn't it bother you that you've been smoking weed and then you'll be BUSTING people for smoking weed??? Nope, not for "exaggeration". Just to make a point. Maybe the cops ARE too much like the pope already, depends on how crooked HE is. No, actually because I'm 52 and have been around a while and had PLENTY of experience as a hippy and an activist, I also have had plenty of experience with cops. Apparently a lot more than you have. Don't you realize that if the "boss" says you have to bust someone, you have to? Don't you realize that cops DO ruin people's lives? Every day. If you are a cop, you have to play by cops rules or you get fired, transferred, or are forced to resign. A police officers JOB is to "enforce" laws, no matter HOW bad those laws might be. I've known a couple people who were cops, new guys on the force, thinking they joined up to "help" people. It didn't take long and they were looking for new jobs. The police are the puppets of the government gone mad. You are in the military? That's pretty common for a cop. There is not much difference you know. License to kill and all that. Definately NOT an honorable profession. What makes you think that you are so good that you can make the decision of taking someones life from them?

You apparently have no idea how the police department works. You are out there on your own, doing what you want to do if you want to pull someone over do it, if you dont want to write someone a ticket don't, if you don't want to arrest someone don't. There is no boss there with you telling you who to arrest and who to pull over. I think especially because you are claiming you have known so many cops you of all people should know how this works, but apparently you don't. And just for your information cops become assholes because that is part of their personality noone changes when they become cops, you are ridiculous to make the assumptions that I am going to be an asshole, low life, whatever it is you want to call me when you do not even know who I am, how I act or any of that. And for your information I don't have a license, like I said before you know NOTHING about me. I am in the Coast Guard and I pull people out of the water on a regular basis, you don't know shit about my job or what I do so once again jumping to conclusions, and I am asking for help because I made a mistake much like everyone has in their lifetime which I am sure you have made plenty seeing as how you are 52 (no insult intended)... Perhaps we have an inordinately large number of bad cops in these parts and it's not like this elsewhere? The local cops have managed to lose the respect of nearly everyone, no matter WHO THEY ARE. You are the one who said you were in the military, not me. Now you seem to be backpeddaling, to try to make it ok. I simply HATE seeing someone young as you are make a big mistake that WILL effect the rest of your life, as you DO have to live with whatever you end up doing in life. You will many times be working WITH other cops. Much of the time they TEAM. You will be limited as to what you can let slide. Sometimes you will be called to a BIG scene with a LOT of cops. Do you think you'll be able to do as you like then? And JUST SUPPOSING that martial law is declared. Are you prepared to turn against your neighbors or family or friends? When I said "license to kill", I didn't literally mean an actual paper license! That's just a common expression. But your badge or uniform DOES give you a license to kill, that's a fact, and you will be able to get away with it almost unconditionally because the OTHER cops will say you did nothing wrong. THAT is how it works. I'm not your ordinary disagreeing person. I run a whistle-blower website for this area especially designed to report wrongdoing on the part of the cops. We are "not allowed" to have a citizens review board, so a few of us are DOING IT ANYHOW. If you don't want a bad rep, then HELP GET RID OF THE CORRUPT COPS - from the inside! And then see what happens to you.
not all cops are out to bust potheads. some care more about catching murderers and child molesters. i respect those police officers who have the right priorities and dont ruin nonviolent citizens lives over personal drug use.
Its called putting food on the table. Hes getting a job, and as far as I can tell thats more than what most 14 year olds here complaining can say. Id rather be a cop then a 14 year old dealer trying to make it big. to the OP. as far as I know they can use body hair such as arm/leg. Hopefully you're not italian. Hah.
