I recently found out I was pregnant (I'm sure you all know already :p). brian and I are excited, but we're also broke. haha.

I was wondering if any of you all had baby clothes and stuff that your babies have grown out of, that you wouldn't mind letting me buy for cheap? I'm also going to hit bargain stores and good wills, but yardsale season is over now and that outlet usually works out best for me :&

I'm in Seattle, Washington...really unfeasible for most people to send me anything, but I'd rather give money to the fine people of this site than any good will in the world.

oh my gosh, Arlia. You're actually a bit older than me! I don't think I'm brave. I think I'm a bit silly for getting myself into this situation, but Brian and I love each other so the best thing seems to be just trying to make this work! I will admit that I'm scared, but the excitement outweighs the rest!

If you can't find anything used, maybe try ebay. At least here in germany, people offer boxes of babystuff for pennies. You could buy a few, get rid of the stuff you don't like, and keep the rest.

Hi and congrats! I had my first child on my 19th birthday. What a gift. The best ever. Anyway, check out Freecycle on the web. People are very giving. There may be a group in your area, and if not, you'll get help anyway. Just ask. Have a wonderful life!

I hope you're aware now that more people are going to wish you luck than give you clothes:) Which is what I am doing. No clothes, but there are always places to go that will help you. Goodwill, churches, too bad garage saling will be gone soon. Bummer. You sound like you have a good head about you. Learn to love a budget! Sometimes I get scared when I hear things like "guess what?" at age 19. Oh my! I'm going to be 21 soon and that is a huge responsibility. Good luck though, children are the closest things to angels that I know of. What you may lack in goods can be made up with love. Hugs!!!!!!!!!

Wow Congrats, My gf and I want a kid but unfortunately lesbians cant get each other pregnant. I would try ebay or maybe a local fleamarket they got great stuff. There are lots of places to get them. Walmart has cheap clothes too. Or do you sew? If you do you can make some clothes. Good luck on your hunt, dont worry you got pleanty of time to get baby stuff. holla.

Well like someone said you do have plenty of time but the fact that you're thinking about it now makes me all the more fond of you. I love someone who likes to be prepared, especially about something so important as a new life. I went 'crazy' with my research and getting prepared during my pregnancy, even though we planned it we had no idea of all the details we needed to know about. There's so much information, if you need of my resources let me know. Anyway I don't have any baby clothes but I used to be a nanny and if I get to see my friend soon I'll definately look into rather she's given the baby's clothes away yet, also I"m gonna start babysitting soon, so I'll see if anyone has anything for you. Also I'd love to sew something for you too, I just can't get my sewing machine working atm. But soon, hopefully, once again congrats!!! :)

I wouldn't go to the flea market to get a baby, they may be cheap and look okay but when you get them home you find they are always wanting food and cry in the middle of the night. ebay would be better as you can usually ask the buyer specification questions.
