What do you do to make our world a better place? I just want to know for a project I started called Better World Project. I live in Massachusetts-I consider it to be the capital of closed minded people. I'm almost feeling this is useless, now...although I'm still going on with it. I need some ideas! *Love & Peace* Malia
recycling or even if your walking down the street and see some paper or something on the sidewalk just pick it up and put it in the trash can... if everyone would just do a little thing like that, it'll be a big improvement
Oh sister, if you think Mass is the state of closed minded people you are in for a treat the more you travel....i love your state! But anyway.....education....that's how I see it....telling people to recycle, be kind to animals, use less and give back more is one thing....but most people have not been properly educated as to HOW they effect the planet and what the consequences are of their actions.....case and point: I'm on the highway the other day and this girl zooms in front of me and tosses an aluminum can out her window....it hits the cement barrier and smacks back into my truck.....I felt my blood boil at that moment, not for the blow to my vehicle but the nerve of her littering like that! So, when she got off my exit and pulled into the gas station I pulled in after her...she got out and started apologizing for hitting my truck with her can....I laughed and went on to tell her that besides what she did being a safety hazard to other drivers or instead of hitting me she could have hit some whack job that would have followed her and beat the crap out of her (this is NJ!) SHE WAS LITTERING....I went down the list of why this is bad and what she should have done....keep it in the car and toss it in the recycling bin....and it seemed like a whole new concept to her....she thanked me and promised to never do it again NOW THAT SHE KNEW WHY THIS WAS SO BAD.....that's one person, but you know she went out with her friends that night and told the story of the crazy girl stopping to lecture her and why littering is so bad!

Give blood. Though not to anoyone in a cape. Donate what you can to charity. Start activism programs. Write to convince people to change. When words are true and kind they can change the world.
Just practice common courtesy and manners Rudeness and inconsideration have completely obliterated the whole concept of civility and decency these days. One polite word or act of chivalry may just subtract that critical stress from someone's living hell and prevent them from going over the edge and doing something tragically desperate. Basically give folks reason to have faith in mankind.
i belong to greenpeace...mmm, greenpeace. anyway, i write letters. to representatives, senators and even our dumbass president himself. although he never replies...but usually my rep. does. other than that i go to township meetings to try to convince the board members that many of the trees in Algonac and Clay Township (place where i live) are, in fact, diseased and they need to be treated soon. it isn't good for the enviornment if they are just left there to rot out, not to mention it doesn't make the city or township look good. as for other activism...haha. i'm quite the trouble maker, yeah right. i'm known for being the crazy girl who stands on the corner holding up anti-war and anti-bush signs while singing "masters of war" it's not good for my social life, but i get sh*t done. =]
for the enviroment i ride my bike everywhere nearby instead of bugging someone for a ride. my family has finally started recycling, after countless years of me begging them to. i'm a vegetarian, though it more affects me than the enviroment. i'm a member of the green party of canada and i've donated some money to them. i also pick up trash at a local park that was adopted by my rowing club. its always littered with glass, and whatnot, so we pick as much of it up as possible.
I throw garbage out of my truck window on a daily basis. I dump used motor oil into our creek. I also dump old cans of paint in there too. I like to see the fish turn pretty colors. And if I'm lucky, I bring home a whole truckload of shingles and other petroleum based building materials and burn them all weekend so the neighborhood is under a cloud of thick black smoke
umm new jersey and luisianna. massholes are very opionated for being a completely retarded fascist bunch of vegans tho.bostons my faverite city.anyway i would develop a plague that would cause every human to drown themselves in the ocean. to help the planet i mean. the fishes diet would suffer a bit butt......
