So i have been thinking... I got very upset yesterday seeing footage of animals affected by the bp oil spill. Birds stuck on the shore covered in oil, barely able to move. I am not going to school and i am working only part time. I want to help in some way... like go down and help some of the animals that unfairly got caught in the midsts of this. Does anybody know if there are any groups to join to actually go down and help clean and save wildlife?

I just did a large amount of research online to find out how I could help too..

Looks like they have no need for unqualified volunteers on the coast!!

If you want to help the animals you need professional licenses and training.

as far as I can see the best thing you can do is sign up for National Disaster Relief training courses at your local Red Cross..

Greenpeace and the Peacecorps, basically are looking for qualified applicants too.. so the only other thing I can see is getting a degree in that field..
